The bed was comfortable. The washing machine was great. There were plenty of toilet rolls provided.

The main problem was the dog that lived above the apartments. Having left the door open for some fresh air you do next expect a big dog to wander into your apartment. Once we sat on our terrace and the dog was either barking or howling. When its owner took it out it wandered around the garden in front of us, doing its business! I had to go in as I am scared of dogs and wish I had read all the previous reviews which I now realise mention the same dog! We didn’t feel able to sit outside again. We did not expect the apartment to be luxurious but everything seemed to be done on the cheap. In the bathroom there had presumably been a leak from upstairs and the ceiling was badly stained and flaking, nothing a quick coat of paint wouldn’t put right. The ventilator in the bathroom was clogged with dust. There were several holes in the tiles and the trim around the shower tray needed a good scrub. The towels provided were not absorbent and did not dry you. The sheets on the bed were thin and cheap, there was a mattress protector but no pillow protectors. The counter in the kitchen was cracked. There were two cork screws, both broken. The walls had obviously been painted but not “cut in” at the skirting boards. There was a gap under the front door. There was a weird internal door which was locked but what was it? Could someone come in from the other side? I later read on a review that a guy had placed stickers so that you could see if it had opened, they were still there. If things like this don’t bother you then this apartment is for you. For our last few days in Puerto del Carmen we moved to another apartment, just around the corner, which was cheaper but absolutely lovely, with a pool and a nice terrace to sit on. And finally, just be aware, from the seafront, going back to the apartment, the hill is a killer! And there are no English channels on the TV, my man wanted to watch the England match! This could be turned into a lovely little apartment with just an eye to detail.

Close to the town, just walking 5 minutes Free WiFi Smart TV where we can connect our own Netflix account Spacious with all basic furniture expected for a 1 bedroom apartment Small kitchenette with a toaster oven, microwave, fridge and cupboard space Utensils and crockery for 2 people to use Clean on arrival, with a minimalistic IKEA new age look Good instructions to pick up the key from the key safe outside the apartment Has a small safe to put values, I set up my own code but had to figure out myself how to do it Has a washing machine and they left us 2 tablets for washing clothes There is a broom and mop and bucket It's a quiet gated place with 2 other ground floor apartments, one on each side and a bigger flat above which I think someone lives there permanently with a lovely large brown dog

No instructions on how to use equipment The bedroom curtains don't block the light from outside, so there's a faulty street light that goes on and off every 10 seconds and disturbing our sleep The bed is a twin bed that was joined together with some rope but it would be better to have them set as twin beds More pans and pots for self catering The place is rundown, looks dated and has been patched up over the years.  The price is high for what they supply They only change towels and bedding once and no one comes to clean I had to buy my cleaning products and more toilet paper The fridge is small and barely holds enough supplies for a few days, so had to do lots of trips to the supermarket Never seen the owner or manager... Not even a face to face welcome There a strange back door (locked) that has no key or sign to say what it is, so I placed some stickers inside to ensure no one came through it during the day or night (yes I'm that paranoid) The windows have no security system so every time we are out or asleep we have to have them closed and it gets stuffy and damp inside There's no ventilation system inside I love dogs and I have dogs but on holiday I don't expect to see a dog walking in while I'm having a shower, so had to always have the door shut or barricade the door with a chair The clothes rack is tiny, barely holds a few clothes. They should install some proper stuff on the wall outside No pegs available, I'm glad I brought my own, lesson from previous holidays

Quite a nice location. Staff were alert when we had a faulty kettle.

Apartment was a bit tired and definitely needs a makeover.
