Faro Del Porto

Very close to ferry terminal. The air conditioner is surprisingly quiet.

Fab location right by the port of Poros with a panoramic view - ours was towards the back of the property but we still had a balcony with view to the gorgeous water of the port. The property is slightly up a hill but only a few mins to climb. It's also very close to some lovely tavernas, Remetzo cafe, a little cove good for snorkelling, and a KTEL bus stop. We also took a 'get your guide' trip to Zakynthos from the port itself. The host was lovely and welcoming and the ladies who cleaned our room daily (which I didn't realise was included) made a special effort to pop my daughter's teddies nicely on the made bed. Air con wasn't needed much, but effective. The apartment felt spacious and the bed was firm but comfortable. The larger beach in poros is maybe a 10 min walk away and easily accessible. Poros itself is small but has a number of nice places to eat. Mini markets, and a lovely bakery.

The hobs were a bit tired but it didn't really impact us as we mainly ate snacky bits in the room and otherwise out. After a storm the marble steps were also a bit slippy but I expect this happens rarely, and is tackled quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

In principal baia, necesită o renovare urgentă, vana nu se poate numi vană, e foarte mică, toata apa curge în afară, se înfundă foarte rapid, robineții sunt foarte vechi și sunt fluctuații de temperatură la apă. Deși se intra zilnic să se facă curat, doar paturile erau aranjate, in rest nimic. Nu am avut coș de gunoi, a trebuit să improvizăm noi. Se aud sunete ciudate, e zgomot continuu, deci camerele nu sunt antifonate. TV ul nu este funcțional, ar fi necesar un smart tv. Dimineața se face multa lumină în cameră deoarece nu există o draperie la ușa de intrare.

Staff were super helpful and friendly, with a great quiet location near the port. All recommended restaurants were perfect.

The wasp population on the island was hard to deal with, but this wasn’t a fault of the property.

Struttura nuova e ben tenuta. Camera ampia, con angolo cottura dotato di frigorifero e terrazzino con sedie e tavolo. Il bagno piccolo ed essenziale ma funzionale. Vista molto bella sia lato mare che lago montagna. Personale accogliente e molto gentile.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Faro del Porto in Poros, Kefalonia for a full month — and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our room was spacious, the bed incredibly comfortable, and we enjoyed an amazing view every day. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. A very special thank you to Antonis, the hotel manager, whose warm hospitality made all the difference. He was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to any of our needs — always with a smile. During our stay, due to a power blip on the island, we experienced some issues with the fridge and A/C unit. Antonis handled the situation immediately and professionally. He not only replaced both units with brand new ones, but also offered us a temporary room to stay in while everything was being taken care of. The cleaning staff were equally impressive — friendly, kind, and extremely good at what they do. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard, which we truly appreciated. Thank you to the entire team at Faro del Porto for making our stay so enjoyable and comfortable. We truly felt at home and are already looking forward to returning!
