Los Gigantes Ocean View Apartment

El apartamento es una preciosidad, además que cuenta con todo lo necesario. Tiene unas vistas espectaculares y el personal ha estado muy atento en todo momento.

Great pool, the view, close do Lidl and Mercadonia. Although on the hill, not that far to walk from the restaurants. Private parking (6th spot from the end, you have to open the lock with a small key and pull the lock with a string to unlock the door). The staff very attentive (considering previous comments perhaps something was improved)

If you have neighbors then u can hear them, but it’s acceptable level

The view is great and the property was really spacious, did not expect that. The bed was big and comfortable. It has a private garage right underneath, which is great. We had no issues with the hot water, but bear in mind that it takes a bit to heat as the boiler is under the property, in the garage. Also it was clean and there were no bugs at all, not even on the terrace. The location is ok if you want to visit the southern part of the island without spending too much on the accommodation but I would say that you definitely need a car.

The instructions are a disaster. After reading other reviews I told to myself that it cannot be that difficult to find the property, but I was wrong. First, Waze took us to a random place nearby so we had to use google maps in the end. However, the property entrance is in the middle of a downhill corner where all properties look identical and it would be impossible to stop the car to orient yourself. My recommendation is to first park at the Mercadona nearby, identify the property and retrieve the keys by foot. Once you also see the garage entrance and how to access it, only then you should get back to the car and access the property. Also I had to ask five times in order to identify which one is our garage as there are no numbers and the robot answering is pretty limited. The video provided by the host to show us the directions was filming the tiles on the floor rather then the surroundings, I find it incredible that after so many bad reviews concerning the instructions this has still not been improved. Another minus is that the left window door on the livingroom was not closing, which made us a bit uncomfortable leaving all the valuables inside. Ironically the good part was that the shades on the left side where blocked in the closed position, so in theory one should not be able to access the window door. However, this would need to be fixed. The neighbours were a bit loud, one night there was a party underneath us and it ended around 3 AM. Another negative aspect is that in the nights it got pretty cold and we could not find any way to heat the property, we had to take one of the big blankets which did not feel that clean. All in all we would likely book again this property considering the fair price, as the negative aspects are not as bad as it may seem by the size of this section.

The organisation is horrible. An auto-generated AI is talking to you all the time and isn’t really helpful. For all the people coming after us : the keys are in a little key box (not bigger than a smartphone), street side, next to the disable access ramp (on the right to the entry door). It also gives you access to the parking lot, right on the left. Drive all the way down and park in the third last garage, not spot, this is yours. From there, stairs and elevator go up. For the staff : some signs for orientation might really help and the work is easily done. Also for the neighbour climate. They are unbelievably unfriendly. And the apartment is quite noisy. Some acoustic insulation would help. The WiFi doesn’t work. We tried all the rooms. And there was no box putting the keys back in at departure, even if the AI said otherwise.

Beautiful, new, and clean apartment. It contains everything you might need. The kitchen and bathroom are well-equipped. There’s a private, lockable covered garage near the apartment. Within a few minutes walk, you’ll find two supermarkets. At night, when everyone is asleep, the apartment is quiet, and no traffic noise can be heard.

Unfortunately, the walls are thin, and the neighbor’s conversations can be heard, especially when they’re on the terrace (which is quite common in most apartments in Tenerife, as soundproofing isn’t really a priority). Fortunately, there’s no apartment above, so no noise comes from there—only from the sides. In the bedroom, the bed is small for two people, and there are no blackout curtains. The check-in and key pickup were a disaster. It took hours to finally get into the apartment, and finding the garage wasn’t an easy task either. I would advise the owner to change this property management company because it could be done much better. On the terrace, there was a constant, annoying chirping sound every few seconds. There’s no mosquito net.

- lack of personal contact (only messages via WhatsApp) arrived at midnight and no one was around to assist or help accessing the flat / garage, so it took us some time to figure it out. - the guide is unclear, and worded way too complicated, the keys are not easy to find either, garage should be marked with a sticker and same with main flat door so they can be found easier. - empty fridge on arrival at midnight (we would've appreciated 2 bottles of water at least as all shops were already closed) - hot water takes about 5 mins to start running - there is no fan or air-con, so it can get really hot in this flat. (Fan is mentioned on booking.com, but there is none!) - no shampoo or shower gel provided (however we were told in advance that these were provided) - no thick curtains, so it's too bright and light in the morning - minor issues with balcony doors and curtain poles that need to be fixed
