El Marinero

Friendly, helpful owners. Very welcoming. The pool is gorgeous. Very quiet neighbourhood. I particularly loved the rattan swinging egg chair which would be even more inviting if the cushion was changed to a darker colour which wouldn't show dirt as easily ... perhaps dark green to blend in with the rest of the colours 👌 I loved the view of the mountains from the kitchen and bathroom windows. Some very nice artistic furniture within the apartment

The walls are thin enough to hear the neighbours going to the toilet, coughing & talking, even with the sliding doors closed. The blind in the kitchen is broken in parts which detracts from the aesthetics. Tried to open the bathroom window but couldn't. It appears to be locked.

The owner was so accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The place is in a perfect location just a short walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We rented a car during our stay, and parking was never a problem as we could easily park on the street. The property itself is lovely, cozy. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

Pros. We liked the complex and the outside space was lovely and sunny. The kitchen was well equipped and a lovely big fridge with a freezer. The CD player was great too.The bed was very comfortable Cons. The property generally is quite grubby corners and edges of rooms are dirty. The furniture is very bulky and takes up room that could house something more modern. The unit in the kitchen is pointless . When we booked it was advertised to have UK tv but it didn’t, we took our fire stick but it was limited. The bedroom is quite claustrophobic as a huge wardrobe and another useless unit take up valuable space where something more modern and clean would store your clothes . There was nowhere to put toiletries and my clothes had to be stored in my suitcase. The bathroom was adequate but again grubby flooring. The window kept blowing open which made the room very cold. There is a fabric wall hanging behind the bed which we felt was quite unhygienic and unnecessary. Not sure how often it gets washed , plus a very grim rug on the floor in photo was not too clean either.

A little tired, needs paint refreshed. No English channels, but a DVD player and some films would have been good. Very early checkout…. We’re able to leave or luggage with mind neighbours

The bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked and there were cobwebs on some items down stairs.

The location was very quiet and clean, close to the beach and shops and restaurants with a nice swimming pool.

The airport was a bit too close

My boyfriend and I recently enjoyed a lovely stay at El Marinero in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote. This accommodation offers a balcony with stunning views, a beautiful pool, and a garden, making for a memorable and romantic experience. Upon arrival, we were immediately captivated by the breathtaking view from the balcony. The pool was a standout feature, providing a place to relax and soak up the Lanzarote sunshine. The well-maintained garden added an extra touch of serenity to the surroundings. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable, and the terrace offered incredible views of the sea. The bedroom was cozy, and the living room was a great space for unwinding after a day of exploration. We appreciated the presence of a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi, which kept us connected and entertained throughout our stay. The kitchen was equipped with an oven and microwave, allowing us to prepare our own meals when desired. Having this option was convenient, especially for romantic dinners on the terrace, where we could watch the sun set over the sea. However, the towels provided in the bathroom weren't smelling very fresh, which was a slight disappointment. The location of El Marinero was ideal, within walking distance of the vibrant Puerto del Carmen. We found a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops to explore in the area. The nearby cycling routes allowed us to experience the natural beauty of Lanzarote up close. Although El Marinero provided a comfortable and romantic setting, the issue with the towels not smelling fresh was something that could be improved. We understand that this may have been an isolated incident, and we hope the management addresses it for future guests. Overall, our stay at El Marinero was enjoyable, with its stunning views, relaxing pool, and convenient amenities.

With a little attention to the towel situation, it has the potential to be an exceptional accommodation choice in Puerto del Carmen.

I loved staying at this property. It is located in a quieter part of town, which suited me, but is still within walking distance of restaurants and shops. You can hire a bike if you wanted to go further into town. The pool area is lovely and not too busy. The egg chair on the balcony was probably my favourite thing. It was lovely to be able to sit out there and look out towards the sea. The hot water in the shower does not last very long but you shouldn't really be taking long showers on an island which has low rainfall if you can help it. I didn't cook whilst at the accommodation so I couldn't comment on those facilities. I was able to check in early which was really helpful and much appreciated. I hope to be able to stay here again in the future.

The mattress and the pillows could have been softer as it was a little bit uncomfortable. I would like to have had a ceiling fan in the bedroom as it was a little bit warm at night time.
