Il proprietario è stato straordinariamente gentile, un'accoglienza davvero familiare e ci ha fornito ogni informazione necessaria. La stanza era spaziosa, luminosa e pulitissima, a poche centinaia di metri dai servizi e dalla fermata bus.

L’hôte était prévenant et s’est bien occupé de nous.

Des escaliers pour nos lourds bagages Une très petite chambre et non un appartement avec 2 demi lits durs. Vieillot à tous points de vue. Une petite douche avec un rideau. Le mot HOT écrit sur le mur de la douche. Une douchette à mains. Une plaque de cuisson sur le petit meuble à l’entrée mais peu de vaisselle et pas d’eau chaude pour la vaisselle. Propreté douteuse. On nous apporte une cafetière de plastique mais hmmm : douteux. On a tout relavé. Pas de coffre fort

The location is close to the beach. The staff is friendly. They have all the necessary amenities for a beach holiday and swimming.

There was a minor problem with the electricity, but it was quickly resolved.

I had a pleasant stay here in mid-September 2025. The host was exceptionally kind and always accessible — cheerful, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. He allowed me to check in a bit earlier and even arranged a taxi for my return to the airport, which I truly appreciated. About the property: It is conveniently accessible by bus or taxi, just a few minutes’ walk from the nearest bus stop. Although my room didn’t have a sea view, the beach was only a short walk away. The host paid attention to small but thoughtful details — such as providing beach towels and a plastic basin for washing clothes. There is also a lovely rooftop common area, perfect for relaxing. About the room: It was well equipped with a refrigerator, air conditioning, and cupboards. The bathroom in my single room was a bit small and average, which would be the only minor downside. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and excellent value for money.

WHAT I LIKED: The owner tried to scam me, so unfortunately I can't say I enjoyed my stay at the hotel La Santre Villa. But the hotel is definitely not far from the beach, about a 10-minute walk. WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE - MY CONTINUATION: Unfortunately, because of this, I had to wake up no later than 9:30 AM every day because the cleaning lady couldn't wait, and by 10:00 AM she was sitting on the stairs outside my room, waiting for me to leave. While she was waintin, she was smacking her lips ironically as she told me she had to wait! It's simply outrageous! So, please, think twice before you decide to stay in this hotel!

The owner tried to scam me. On the last evening of my stay at the hotel, around 11:30 p.m., I received an email from Booking.com informing me that the hotel had canceled my stay because I hadn't arrived. And I had just fallen asleep in my room at this hotel! The consequence of not checking in was a fine,in my case €177. Of course, I paid the owner for my stay with my credit card immediately upon arrival. If the owner had managed to scam me, I would have had to pay the €177 extra on top of the regular room rate. Since canceling your reservation prevents you from writing a review, it's very likely that this has happened to other guests as well. But canceling a reservation "silences" guests. The next morning, before leaving, I recorded videos from the hotel as evidence, including my conversation with the owner, in which he explained that the cancellation was his daughter's mistake. He promised to clarify the situation with Booking.com. Over the next two days, the status of my reservation remained unchanged (still canceled), so I emailed the owner twice, asking for clarification from Booking.com. The owner replied he was already investigating, then that the problem was resolved, but nothing changed. 3 days after my departure, the hotel tried to charge €177 from my credit card. Fortunately, my bank blocked the card, and the hotel didn't manage to steal my money. I also contacted Booking.com, and they asked me to send them proof of payment for my stay. Fortunately, I was able to use my bank receipt because (very strange!) the ATM receipt I left on the table in my room during my stay disappeared after the hotel cleaner cleaned the room! I want to dedicate a separate paragraph to the hotel cleaner, who was very arrogant towards me. At 9:00 AM (but since I live in Central Europe, my time is 8:00 AM! But if you live in the UK, it's 7:00 AM!

Pokój odpowiadał oczekiwaniom. Był komfortowy, czysty i wyposażony w niezbędne akcesoria (aneks kuchenny). Wymiana ręczników w trakcie pobytu. Na dachu taras, a także możliwość wzięcia ręczników i akcesoriów plażowych. Parking przy obiekcie. Bardzo pomocni gospodarze. Na pożegnanie dostaliśmy śliczną karafkę Raki.

Niestety nie da się wziąc prysznica bez zalewania łazienki wodą.

Excellent location in the center od Amoudara village, 15 min. from hotel to the to Heraklion, 30. min to Knossos.

Nothing, everything od very good.

The owner was very polite and helpful, location was also great, being about 5 minutes on foot from the beach and with direct city bus transport to the airport and city center. Our room had pretty much everything we needed, but we were mostly eating out.

Facilities were a little dated (especially the AC was a little too loud), but that's to be expected at this price and there were some stains on the walls from the previous visitors
