Amazing place with kindness of owner to explain everything

The owner was extremely nice, very friendly. It is next to the main road, but at the same time quiet and pleasant neighborhood. Very close to the beaches, many restaurants and shops. Easy access to the public transport. Perfect for a budget vacation.

The shower needs a renovation as it’s pretty old and the canalization needs a clean up and the absence of a coffee machine.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at La Santra Villa in Crete, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the host, who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay, their hospitality was truly exceptional. The villa is situated in a great location, just a 7-8 minute walk from the beautiful beach. This made it incredibly convenient for daily beach trips. Additionally, there are numerous markets and restaurants nearby, offering a variety of options for dining and shopping. The villa itself was immaculate, well-maintained, and equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to unwind and relax. I highly recommend La Santra Villa for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable vacation in Crete.

The host is amazing, extremely welcoming

The location is very close to the beach, supermarkets and bus station (a tip: you can buy tickets in the supermarket it's cheaper than in the bus). The host was amazing, very friendly, he gave me good tips and offered me snacks whenever he saw me. The house has a huge terrace on the rooftop with a nice view.

That it wasn't a longer trip. Also a good mention would be that water is not for drinking so you'll have to buy bottled one!

Comfortable, clean room with a good balcony and excellent air-con. A nice peaceful place and the owner could not have been more helpful. Everything within an easy stroll - a long sandy beach, excellent beachfront Taverna with good food & drink and free sunbeds & umbrellas if you spend a small amount with them, bus stop to city centre, excellent Greek restaurant with live traditional music (Thalassini Aura) and car/bike hire offices.

Hand held shower is a bit of a pain but worked fine. Room slightly dated but everything was very clean and worked ok. You'd have to be determined to eat in to use the one ring cooker - we didn't.

Location was good for me. Easy to get the bus into Heraklion opposite Creta beach hotel. Get the tickets from supermarket as its cheaper. Buses to everywhere else are easily taken from bus station Heraklion port. It's a family run establishment and the owner is very helpful and kind. I was given a present on leaving of some olive oil. Ammoudara beach is only a few minutes walk. Sunbeds are 15 euro but if you eat and drink at one of the beach restaurants it's free.

While I eventually slept ok the bed was a bit hard as are the pillows but it worked out ok. The rooms do need updating to more modern standards and the TV is very small. It's a tight squeeze in the shower and toilet.

I liked the welcome of the host, I liked room, the equipment of the room are very convenient, the place is near the beach. There is some local restaurant and the place is quiet.
