It had everything I needed for a self contained stay. Good communication, easy self check in and out and all the instructions for cooker tv and wifi were there. Helpful folder detailing local shoos and some nice basics in the fridge. The apartment was compact, i parked very close and was spotlessly clean. Nice bath and comfy bed. Quiet overnight.

Excellent apartment right in the middle of town, very comfortable and good use of space. The bed was very wide and comfortable, and nice to have a bath after long days' walks. Great pubs in the village as well as a fab bakery (a 'must try'!!); great suggestions on the guest book for local short walks, which we tried on the rainy days when it got dry early morning or evening. Also great wifi, which was very useful.

Worth noting that once you have used up the hot water for a bath, as it appears it runs on a tank there won't be any more hot water until next day, but we managed to work around this. Unfortunately we found the 'hob induction' system quite frustrating. Although there is parking as other reviews said, it was not always easy/straightforward to find a space.

This little apartment was pretty much perfect for just the 2 of us. It's not huge, but it's snug, warm, and comfortable - the bed was really comfortable! Decorated and furnished to a high standard, and was excellent value for money. The Square Cafe, literally 20 seconds from the apartment, was fantastic, serving the best fry-up I've had in ages. Broughton itself is a lovely village and the perfect base for exploring the Lake District. It has a couple of pubs, a butchers and grocers, a post office, and a bakery. Not as busy as some of the more touristy places around the lakes, which was a major plus for us. If we ever venture up to the Lake District again, we will definitely try to return to this lovely apartment.

Genuinely, I couldn't find fault with anything.
