Edge Mere Apartment, Bowness-on-Windermere

Edge Mere Apartment is furnished with high quality fittings, and is very thoughtfully and completely fitted out. Claire has thought of everything, and there are extensive and clear instructions (with photographs and text) to guide you through any issues - even arrival was made clear with texted photos of the street view of the short entrance road leading to the property. The main bedroom, lounge and kitchen were a good size and thoughtfully laid out. Bedding was very good quality and everything was sparkling clean (although the light carpet had suffered from previous guests with dirty footwear). Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and other treats complemented a Nespresso machine that facilitated milk-based coffees in addition to espresso. The bed in the main bedroom (at basement level, but with a small window) is a super king size (or two king-singles) in a large room, which is very comfortable. (The bed and bedroom on the ground floor are still adequate, but smaller.) The location is excellent - close to the centre of town, with shops, supermarkets and restaurants within quite easy walking distance (albeit with a short incline). Claire was very pro-active and responded promptly and helpfully to our requests and questions.

For (structural) reasons which Claire has explained in response to some previous reviews, the en-suite for the main bedroom is cramped. We were a couple, so we used the upper bathroom, which was a little more spacious, but we could have got by with using the main en-suite had there been another couple. As a few others have noticed, wi-fi doesn't quite reach the kitchen, but it is strong everywhere else. (We were only conscious of this as we are from overseas and had a limited data plan for our phone, so wanted to use wi-fi whenever possible.)

This is my 2nd visit to Edge Mere, once again I received very simple instructions and easy to find and secure access, directions were clear to find the property, arrived to a very clean and well furnished apartment with great amenities for a vey comfortable stay.

This spacious, comfortable apartment had everything you could need. Attention to detail was fantastic.

It was beautifully decorated and had everything we could possibly need. The details were wonderful. The location was perfect and the beds were very comfortable.

It was the perfect choice for family and friends there wasn’t anything that was wrong.

The apartment is stunning and in a perfect location with private parking. Tastefully decorated/furnished throughout with everything you could possibly need and more. Lovely and peaceful but within easy walking distance to many great restaurants and shops. If anyone is looking for a special restaurant, look out for Porto it’s just a 5 minute walk away. Our host Claire was extremely pleasant and helpful with directions/instructions for our arrival. We wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this beautiful apartment and I’m certain we will be back at some point.
