The apartment would have benefitted from some shade ( umbrella) on the balcony and better kitchen equipment

The agency offered us a discount for our stay on the condition that we would write a positive review. As I truly believe that this platform can only work if travellers leave honest comments, we have passed on the discount. It started with discovering upon our arrival that the electricity in the main area did not work so there was no light and no elevator to the 4th floor. Of course, things like this can happen, but they promised us "it would be fixed the same evening". No support was provided to carry all our stuff to the 4th floor in the pitch dark. Then, a day later, I received in my emails a contract for the rental period with my name and signature below my name that was not mine. As this is illegal, I sent a message back asking how come that a signature that is not mine was on the contract, to which I did not receive a response. During the week we kept on asking about updates about the electricity but unless we asked, there was no information voluntarily provided from the agency's side. When we started to complain towards the end of our week's stay, it appeared that it was an issue with the owner of the building. All understandable, but then it is strange to promise us upon arrival that it would be solved the same evening. And it would have been neat to keep us updated about the situation. After pressing for an answer, they also admitted to have falsified my signature on the contract, as that would be easier than passing by the apartment again and getting my signature for real. It was at this stage that the agency offered a 10% discount but only after they would see a positive comment from us on Booking.
