Il Canneto di Selinunte

The apartment was well kept and for somebody that likes to enjoy the beauty of nature while keeping active the location is perfect. There is a nice beach (i.e. Spiaggia La Pineta) and a nature reserve that are around a 5 minute walk. Additionally, if you enjoy visiting historical places, Selinunte Archaeological Park can be reached in a 25 minute walk. The host Salvo was very attentive and a great host.

I wasn't too keen on the local supermarket called 3G Supermercato as I found the stock to be quite limited. Next time I will hire a car to ensure that I can reach the Conad and Lidl supermarkets at my leisure.

The features of the apartment were quite basic in comparison to other places I stayed at on the island. Some cushions for the outdoor chairs would be nice.

Good view of the coast. We were escorted to the property so we could find it, and shown how to open the car parking gates etc.

I deliberately booked the ground floor apartment with two beds, but we were given the 2nd floor apartment with 1 bed, which was freezing because it was in the roof. I think they thought it was an upgrade but we weren't asked and I pointed out that my mother can not do stairs but no result. The heating was the Aircon and a gas heater with no carbon monoxide detector so you couldn't leave it on. No condiments or any other niceties in the kitchen. 1 plug socket for the kettle & microwave so constantly switching. Cupboard over sink makes it difficult to wash up. Washing up liquid and tea towels provided but no sponge. Not a comfortable place especially in winter.

The place was nice and clean with a beautiful view of the beach, which was a stroll away from the place. The host was very nice and helpful.
