Nur eine Bettdecke, eine(r) von zweien kommt immer zu kurz 😉. Nässeschutz auf der Matratze (wir verstehen den Grund, trotzdem ist es unangenehm auf einer Art Folie zu liegen…).

The location is fantastic, right in the centre of the Old Town and a couple of minutes from the beach. Despite its central location it is very quiet inside the apartment (from outside noise), with very good triple glazing. The apartment is in an old historic building and is beautiful. Pedro, the host, was very responsive and helpful. It was thoughtful to have beach towels provided. Whilst there is a minimum of cooking equipment (pots and pans) there were sufficient for our needs and it was nice to be able to cook fresh food from the market, which is just round the corner. Santa Cruz is a lovely town and has a very good bus system, we didn't hire a car but were able to travel around using a combination of local buses, some day tours (La Palma Transfer and Tours) and a couple of taxis.

Previous reviews had warned about the noise inside the apartments from neighbouring apartments and they are really not exaggerating! We were in the downstairs duplex and the noise from people in the apartment above us was really excessive, waking us regularly in the night and early morning. This was just from them walking about, we couldn't hear any other noise such as voices or music/TV. The floors are wooden so there is nothing that can be done about this. I think it would be the same for the middle (deluxe) apartment, I don't know if the same is the case for the top floor apartment, but if you are thinking of staying and have a choice then definitely go for the top apartment, which also has sole access to the terrace, which we didn't see. Otherwise be prepared and take ear plugs! The bathroom is also strangely laid out - open plan with no doors between it and the lounge/bedroom area, which seems unnecessary and means a lack of privacy.
