We liked the location - main street but yard side, therefore quiet but close to everything.

Everything a bit basic, dated and tired, the sounds of doors closing in the building, radio in some other room, all very present. The lighting very strong, not cosy.

The friendly cleaning staff were amazing!

Most important thing: the proprietor and staff are lovely. Really friendly and helpful, did their best with English although it was a bit tricky sometimes! Central location, pedestrianised street, opposite a restaurant but no noise after about 10pm. Very clean, spacious, light and bright due to roof lights. Felt safe and secure. Full size fridge with freezer compartment.

Possibly the least comfortable bed and pillow ever! Hard and my feet were hanging off the end. I’m 5ft 7. Limited cooking facilities: only an old, slow electric two burner hob. No oven, grill, microwave, not even a toaster. Electric kettle was supplied when I asked (otherwise stovetop one!).

The top floor apartment overlooked the main port towns pedestrian street, which was lovely as you had the sounds and smells of the small town restaurants wafting up. The apartments are set with internal open staircase leading to the apartments on the first and second floors. Exceptionally clean with really friendly staff. The apartment was nicely proportioned bright and airy, and we were made extremely welcome. It had a lovely feel to it.

Any noise from the stairs and other apartments can be carried into the bedroom. It's fortunately not a noisy or particularly busy block, but late night residents returning and someone being ill one night caused interruption to sleep as the noise carried. Nothing major, but it's there. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was adequate for our December stay, but there's no AC. The self-contained kitchen had " just enough" utensils to make it work. A proper kettle, rather than a saucepan, would have been useful, as would, a bread knife.

Very central to everything. Greeted nicely on arrival.

Cooking facilities sparse. No microwave to possibly reheat food.

The location is perfect. The manager is a wonderful guy.

Location close to the marina was perfect for our needs

Central location overlooking main pedestrian street. Several restaurants nearby. Seafront 5mins walk. Bus station 10mins. Ferry 15mins. Reasonably but not perfectly equipped. (eg no peeler, bottle opener, corkscrew, etc.). Beds comfortable. Level access, no hills, (at least as far as front door of block. Old guy at desk pleasant (and helpful re things within his remit).

Lack of some basic kitchen items. Disturbingly creaky sofa. No lift (but it is a historic building)
