Apartamentos Aloha2 El Puerto de Santa Maria

The location of these apartments is in lovely small boating dock which is easy to walk around and park. It has 2 beaches walking distance and some restaurants which have great views. The apartment itself was basic and the money was expected. Everything was clean and the shower was good with hot water. If you don't plan to spend much time in the apartment it is good for sleeping, showering etc.

The apartments could do with some modernizing. The wifi was not strong at all and the TV was old. Although there were some kitchen items, we missed wine glasses as well as bags for trash. The radiators did not work in the bedroom and were told to use the air conditioning on hot in the living room to get warmer.

It was very quiet . I guess it was fairly cheap. The view was wasted due to the area being a bit of an abandoned building site. A lot of potential so far wasted.

The place was difficult to find. It didn’t help that the address provided was incorrect on booking.com. If it hadn’t been for the help of a Marina security guard I doubt I could have found it. Getting in touch with the owner was very difficult and took the perseverance of the guard to do that. He said the address I had was in the middle of waste land. Once he had got an idea where it was he drove there with us in his own car. Forever grateful. The place had had a flash makeover. Not at all well done. And it still felt worn out. The WiFi was very poor. The list goes on.

I arrived well before the check-in time and was allowed to check-in. There was more space in the apartment than expected.

Fabulous location and cute building

Missing some essentials- no kettle, no hooks in the bathroom or any of the rooms for hanging towels . Washing machine available but no line or airer to dry washing. I also was not warned that workmen would be carrying out maintenance. I could hear and just make out the silhouettes of men on my balcony early in the morning whilst it was still completely dark. Bring a female on my own I was actually really anxious. I contacted the host who explained it was workmen and once it was light I could see the ladders etc. However, until that became obvious I was really scared having unexpected men banging around outside the front door on my private balcony in the dark.
