DEThe host was very nice and gave us a lot of useful local advice and recommendations. Spacious and clean apartment. Very comfortable bed. Air conditioning with a dehumidifier. Free street parking that was always available (September). The downtown and the closest beach are easily reachable on foot (about 20 min).
The kitchen could be improved. The inner walls of the microwave seemed to be burned and we did not dare to use it. Neither did we use the washing machine, which contained a pool of stale water. No soap tray in the shower cubicle. Trains passing by are easy to hear even with all windows closed but we slept fine anyway. Some neighbours may be noisy.
DEThe apartment was very charming and well located – close to Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure. The terrace and garden were beautiful, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening. Everything was clean and well maintained, and communication with the host was smooth and friendly.
Parking can be a bit tricky if you arrive with a car, and the way to the centre can be a bit annoying.

CAOur host Gianpaolo met us in person upon our arrival. Plus he also left us a welcoming gift basket of goodies. We found him very responsive and helpful offering us suggestions on what to see, do & where to eat. There is parking available right out side of the apartment. We found the outside garden to be a lovely area to relax. It is a very easy to walk to city center. The apartment is close to the train and we thought this might be a noisy problem. If you are concerned to rent this property for this reason don't be because it was not an issue at all.
Keep in mind people really live here so they might start their morning earlier that a vacationer.
GBGianpaolo met us at the property to hand over the keys and gifted some aperitifs and local biscuits. He gave us lots of fantastic recommendations for the local area and was very helpful. The apartment was clean and the garden has lovely views. In a quiet neighbourhood about 15 minute walk to the beach.
We didn't realise how steep the hill is once you pass the railway bridge up to the apartment, it didn't bother us but something to bear in mind if you have trouble with mobility. A rail to hang clothes on would have been handy but we have no complaints about the apartment, as a whole great value for money.
