La Palmera

The apartment was bright, spacious and the patio was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The small appliances…kettle, pannini maker, coffee maker etc were appreciated. The washing machine we used twice!

Better instructions about the lock box location. Better follow up on replacement wine glasses, change of linens supposedly after 7 days. The carpet in the living room needs deep cleaning or replaced.

we stayed there for 5 nights: we had a room with balcony, the view was really nice! layout of apartment was divided nicely. mattress was very comfy. wifi worked well. air-condition, nice for summer but we did not need it in December.

in general, the apartment is nice but there are a couple of things to highlight: - location on google maps is wrong, this should have been highlighted to us before but it wasn't. - of course, with a nice view, this means that the apartment is located pretty high up. very steep hill to get there. - no shower gel / shampoo was provided - no cooking oil / pepper was provided - the fridge was cleaned with a strong detergent, everything (food, pasta, beer bottles) left in the fridge had to be disposed because of this detergent smell. - could be cleaner, bathroom mirror was dirty, utensils, plates were not washed properly, dirty carpet. - FYI, self check in, but Maria was very responsive.

The title & photos are very misleading! This apartment has NO balcony, even though it said it would in the description. The apartment had almost ZERO natural light as the main window opened up to a rock wall. The bedroom window opened up into a neighbors’s staircase, thus no privacy at all; I had to keep the bedroom window closed all the time because of this. There was NO salt, no sugar, no cooking oil, no spices, no laundry detergent, no nothing. A very limited amount of toilet paper and dishwashing and liquid bathroom soap. The little coffee table was half-falling apart, I think a 5 year old child probably made it. It was not worth the price I paid for it, people need to know if the apartment they book will have a balcony or not (I think some of the apartments do, however you won’t know until you get there). I wouldn’t have booked this place if I knew I’d be staying in a dungeon. Only thing going for it was the cleanness. Also, it’s up quite a steep hill. Which for myself was no problem, but it might be an issue for some.

The property is in a good location above the main area in the town of San Sebastián.

Parking can be an issue, sometimes there are spaces outside, sometimes not but we did find one each time on the road. The apartment is modern but finished cheaply. It is fine for a few nights. My big problem was that we only had one set of linen even though I had specified we would need both the bed and the advertised sofa bed for myself and my father. What was an even bigger problem was that the host wanted us to pay an extra 40 euro for the linen. Her attitude was unprofessional and she was unwilling to rectify the problem unless we payed more. I would not recommend to stay here.
