Breakfast good, People good and very welcoming, facilities good

Nachdem wir bereits 2018 auf der Shenavallie Farm waren, haben wir diesmal für 4 tage gebucht, Die Straße zum etwas abgelegenen Haus ist entgegen früherer Bewertungen mittlerweile in gutem Zustand, Der Weg ist sehr gut ausgeschildert. Nach der Regenfahrt über stark verschmutzt kleine Straßen sah unser Motorrad entsprechend aus. Prima, dass wir es kostenlos mit einem Wasserschlauch etwas sauber machen durften. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß, die Betten waren uns etwas zu weich. Frühstück gibt es gemeinsam mit den anderen Gästen und nur um 08:00 Uhr. Für uns war das nicht so toll, weil wir an einem Tag bereits um kurz vor 7 Uhr das Haus verlassen mussten, um nach Oban zur Fähre auf die Isle of Mull zu fahren. Das Frühstück war leider auch mehr oder weniger immer gleich. 2018 konnte man sich das Frühstück noch aus einer Liste zusammenstellen. Positiv war aber, dass wir beim Frühstück immer Gesellschaft und nette Gespräche mit den anderen Gästen hatten. Die Shenavallie Farm ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Tagestouren. wir waren in Inveraraym im Glen Coe und im Glen Nevis und auf der Isle of Mull.

Quite remote with long single track access

A wonderful stay in a quiet location on a farm. Very comfortable rooms and beautiful bathroom. The breakfast every morning was excellent! Very friendly and helpful host. Great stay and definitely recommended!

We stayed several days here 1 1/2 years ago.... we chose to stay several more days on a second trip to the U.K.... it was an excellent place to explore Glencoe and south to the cost. It is only a few miles from Oban and Loch Awe (must see). The food was always perfect for breakfast and the owner was an excellent host. They have Highland Coos and sheep.... I always look for farmstays and remote locations to stay for a peaceful holiday, this checks that box and many more things desirable when wanting a quiet remote location to spend a holiday. I almost never book a location like a hotel in a crowded city... I am allergic to people having grown up on a farm in the woods. It is also quite close to the ferry to the Isle of Mull (may as well not go if you do not see Mull, Fingal's Cave and Staffa Island).

There is nothing to not like about perfect.....

Very welcoming, breakfast really good, accommodation was spotless. Would recommend to friends.

Didn't book another couple of nights

A beautiful quiet location a short stroll from the sea. The accommodation was very cosy and comfortable and we received a warm and friendly welcome. Great access to all the nearby towns, villages, islands and mountains. A great place to stay.
