Masseria Prosperi

Staying in Masseria was a great experience that I hope we can repeat in the near future. It was an absolute pleasure to commune with the nature of Puglia, the animals that graze freely on the grounds and you can see that they are happy, the other friendly guests and, above all, the wonderful hosts. The view from the room overlooking the pool and the stretching fields of trees was breathtaking every day. The pool is always a wonderful amenity, and here, in addition, there was also an indoor, heated pool, which was a nice aspect at the end of the day when the temperature outside dipped. Masseria exceeded my expectations, that's for sure.

The setting for breakfast was perfect with choices of where to sit to enjoy the morning sunshine, inside or out, in company or alone. The buffet was extensive and varied, with regional specialities offered. The staff were superbly attentive without being obtrusive.

Only one thing was slightly troubling and that was the insect life: I imagine it's hard to get away from mosqitoes wherever you go in Southern Europe in summer and, of course, where there are horses, donkeys goats and cows, you'll find flies!

Loved the scenery of the masseria and the amazing style! The horses were let out in the day to run wild whilst we were relaxing by the gorgeous poolside.

The rooms were on the small side for the value. The rooms were noisy in the mornings.
