Heredad la bouquilla A dream come true! Javier and his lovely wife Theresa, made our stay at their exquisite farmhouse a true Spanish experience we will never forget. A mere hour away from Valencia, this agricultural stay transported us in an authentic way of living in the country side. The farmhouse is decorated with artefacts from all over the world (from the owners' travels) and each piece has a story to tell. The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen is more than well equipped and the living space and fire place, with lovely views over the olive groves, the perfect area to unwind. After we booked out stay, we were in constant contact with the hosts and they went over and above to answer our queries and accommodate our requests. One of the highlights of this holiday was the home cooking that they offered us. The breakfast was prepared with only the finest ingredients (tomato pulp on toasted bread), fresh orange juice, eggs from the farm and brewed coffee. Dinners included the best Valencian paella (or any paella) we have ever tasted and being part of the cooking process elevated this to another level. Javier and Theresa explained the history, tips and tricks to making this classic dish. On a separate night, we enjoyed a BBQ with calcots (our request which they honoured to by sourcing it especially for us). Wood fired aubergine hummus was to die for and plentiful so we kept it for snack time! Desserts, good wine and company really completed the gastronomic experience. Javier also took his precious time from the working farm to give us quick lecture on olive oil farms and we had the opportunity to taste his world award winning olive oil called Birdy (of which we bought 12 bottles). Above all, their openness to share their dreams for the farm, the Spanish and Valencian history and patriotism, love and care to details made this stay exceptional. We will definitely return! It’s a finca so if you’re looking for luxury then this is not the place to go. But if you’re looking for peace and quiet then yes this is the place. We had a beautiful studio, nicely decorated with a very good bed and good wifi. The studio had a little terrace in front where you could sit with a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon overlooking the olive trees. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. You can have breakfast, lunch or dinner brought to your studio and the price is good for what you get. Compliments for the chef. There is a beautiful easy walk of 11 km. you can do from de finca and their are nice walks you can do from de neighbourhood. We brought our dog and the place is very dogfriendly. I can highly recommend this place. Ok the 2,5 km road to the finca is a bit bumpy but that’s because you are in a rural area. Don’t forget to buy some of their excellent olive oil.

The property and location are amazing. The location is quiet, peaceful and the studio we stayed in was very cozy. We made a small fire every evening which added to the coziness. We opted for having a traditional dinner cooked every evening at the property and it was absolutely delicious. We felt very relaxed and happy and I highly recommend Finca Heredad la Boquilla if you are looking to switch off and relax.

It was a bit of a journey to get to the property from the main road but well worth it. Javier gave us a very warm welcome and next morning showed us round his organic olive grove. An excellent breakfast was delivered to our accommodation. Also as we were travelling with our pet spaniel dog it was a perfect place for taking him walks in the adjacent trails Also would recommend purchasing some of Javier’s unique award winning organic olive oil

Nice and private, very quiet area, nice owners, own plunge pool for hot days and a little garden. We booked dinner on arrival which was tasty and welcome after a long drive.

a long way from any facilities and tourist areas but if you want peace and quiet this is the place to relax. Make sure you have provisions before you arrive. We were troubled by lots of flies which wasn't pleasant.
