"Take me home country roads, to Karen's Willow Barn."

10.0

Karen the host made me feel welcome even before I arrived on site. She counseled me on trains and stations nearest the property, and arranged to pick me up at the station and drop me off when my stay was complete. The first evening we had a nice cuppa and chat at the fire pit in front of the farm house. My bed and bedroom furnishings were very comfortable with relaxation and sleep made easy. The shared bathroom was clean and bright. Location was good as the property is within walking distance of the village of Terrington St. John where I could easily catch public transport to other places in East Anglia. Overall I felt quite at home and among friends; I would recommend Karen's Willow Barn to any traveler and family.

"Disappointing, we returned a day early too uncomfortable to stay the remaining night."

1.0

Karen was nice.

The blow up hot tub was broken and wouldn’t work for more than 10 minutes. Said the filter required changing but after it was ‘changed’ we had the same issue the following day. It was also full of debris and dead bugs. The ‘farm’ was 3/4 goats and no other animals. The mattress was cheap and didn’t fit the oversized bed frame. Advertised as a family room but a camp or and a double bed is not a family room. At all. Couldn’t move all round the room for the lack of space. Ridiculously uncomfortable. The bath and shower had mould and staining all around it. Grout/silicon cracked and gross. The pool wasn’t open as advertised as it was green. Karen explained this on arrival though. Would of preferred to be informed before. Wish we had stayed at a hotel. For the same money we could of had comfort, hygiene and space.

"Awful !"

1.0

The whole place was run down and unclean our mattress was all mouldy, didn't get any sleep got cold and damp in the tent.(Summertime) Looks like everything left to rack and ruin for at least 5-10 years. If this place was on four in a bed i don't think they would have paid as that bad. As soon as morning came we up and left, so didn't stay for the full time we paid for £198. As the place is for SALE i think they have just let it go to pot!!! Should not be advertised on Booking.com or any other website!!!

"nice one night farm stay"

8.0

I travelled with my teenage daughter and a dog and this place was exactly what we were looking for, to spend some time together. Although as many people commenting here, whole place was probably in a much better state years ago, but for us that wasn't a problem at all. Yes, we had cobwebs above the bed or not everything looked properly cleaned, but we stayed at the farm - so I'm guessing this is a part of experience:). We loved how quiet it was, we made breakfast on our own in good equipped outdoor kitchen. my dog loved friendly goats whole farm vibe. we didn't use pool or hot tub (i didnt know how to do that), but we drove to the nearest beach instead for a walk, so that didnt bother me. overall we spent a really nice time outdoors

my bed was comfortable, but on a bunkbed you could feel the all the springs, so we ended up sleeping on double bed. some of the facilities outside would need a good wash, and not many of the animals left (looking at old photos), and please please change the water at gerbil's cage. it was sad to see how dirty it was

We only had a short stay at Willow Barn, and couldn't have been made to feel any more at home. So many different areas to explore, lots for children to see. The goats and lamas are super friendly. There is a real farm/forest school feel about the place.

There was a note in the description of Willow Barn that it is a little rustic, not being a resort. Yes, there are a few weeds and areas being worked on, but everything was working, the room we stayed in was very clean. We have paid more to stay in an empty tent in a field. Here, you have toilet with each tent, lovely fairly lights all over the place, and cute little wash and bar areas.

"Fun glamping with goats and alpacas"

10.0

Willow Barn was in a great location for us as we were visiting family and wanted to stay close by. Karen greeted us and was lovely and showed us around. What’s not to love about having your own comfy tent with alpacas and goats for neighbours, stunning sunsets over the cornfields, fabulous weather, eating barbecues and a lovely warm shower. We also appreciated the use of the fridge, toaster, cooling equipment and utensils.
