Agriturismo Molleone

The house is in a stunning hilltop location, 3km along a Strada Bianca, that is well maintained and easy to navigate in a regular car. The farmhouse house felt a little like it was waking up from winter hibernation when we arrived, as the rooms were chilly and a little damp and the lighting a bit sparse. Once we had the heating on overnight and the sun came out, this resolved itself. We were fortunate that the huge pool was open for business and although still cool (it was mid May - so fair go!) it is beautifully maintained and has a stunning vista of the surrounding hills and mountains. Our host Matteo was there to greet us and was always helpful, even though he doesn't live on site. Matteo also provided a wonderful homemade cake and delicious white wine as a welcoming gift - which was much appreciated.or Most of the time we felt like we had the place and pool to ourselves, although there were other guests staying. The apartment kitchen was well equipped and the huge communal kitchen is a real bonus. There is also lots of communal living space - although it all seemed just a touch cavernous and cold to completely relax in.

The lighting and somewhere slightly more warm and cosy to sit in the evenings. The apartment could have done with some comfy lounging chairs, rather than just the sofa bed. The apartment felt very cold and damp when we arrived which was a bit off-putting. The underfloor heating worked well but it took a while to kick in and the dampness meant the bathroom door was virtually impossible to shut. I imagine as summer kicks in, this wouldn't be such an issue though

The location outside of Cagli is absolutely beautiful and nestled in rolling hills. We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed sitting beside the pool and enjoying the peacefulness of this agriturismo. The beds were comfortable and the shower was large. The staff were so kind. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Nothing. We loved it

Matteo was a great host! He communicated in advance asking about our arrival time and giving some little directions. Upon arrival we got a bottle of wine and bite to eat. Very hospitable! The house itself is amazing. It's a lot greener then on the pictures and the jasmine was in full bloom (late June) and smelled amazing!! The house itself is away from everything and therefore very tranquill. Amazing pool area, nice, clean and well kept. Our dog could roam free on the fenced off grounds and had an amazing time. All 4 studios have a small kitchen, but in the big communal area is a massive kitchen that has absolutely everything you could ever need.

We didn't really experience anything that we didn't like. It might be nice to add some portable fans in the rooms, for cooling, against mosquitos (as there were no mosquito nets and noises from other guests. The last 2 kilometers off-road to get to the agriturismo are quite difficult with a little city car like we have. Be careful and take it easy. You'll get used to it soon enough and it adds to the charm!
