Fukui Furusato Chaya Kine to Usu

Very spacious and comfortable accommodation. Set in a lovely semi-rural area. The owner was very helpful and interesting to talk to.

We couldn't find anywhere to boil water for a cup of tea.

This is the most impressive stay out of all the trips i had in Japan! I didnt expect this when i booked. The owner is very kind and nice even we cannot speak Japanese, but we found the way to talk to each other. The house is located in the village , so it is very quiet in the evening and it gives you the local vibes. we had the great experience there, and feel very welcomed by the owner and staff. I would love to go back again!

It was in a rural part of Japan and it was so peaceful. There was a whole bunch of kids from neighbouring houses that came over to play. It was lovely.

None actually. It was an old house and if you prefer all things new and fancy and prefer hotel, this is not for you. But if you are going for a different experience in your vacation, come here. You will not regret it.

The host is very friendly! It's also a unique place to stay if you're going through Fukui and you have a car. I couldn't imagine getting there without a car though.

The owner Mr Iwase is very accommodating and provided us with all the necessary amenities within the inn itself. There are ample parking lots and our breakfast set is very satisfying too.

The location is great if you have a car. Beautiful view of the mountains. I woke up early and watched the sunrise. It was breathtaking

The grandfather clock scares me a bit when i got up to use the toilet at night. I sleep with noise cancelling headphones so it doesn’t bother me much

Very helpful owner, who gave us some recommendations on what food to try in Fukui, and helped us made a reservation via the phone for a nearby restaurant.

Room can get a little cold at night. Also, room was right next to their front entrance. As the location is a mochi shop, you can hear them come in to work and customers when they are open in the day, so it is lacking a bit of privacy.
