We loved staying there! Neil is such a great host and the place was very clean. We got to feed the alpacas. You can see how much the alpacas are loved and cared for. Thank you so much we will come back next time!

Great hidden gem, with amazing hosts and cute alpacas! We enjoyed the amazing hill top views overlooking Waihi and waking up to nice morning fog with the alpacas in the background. Getting to feed the animals around the farm was also super fun!

The property was quiet, with an incredible view of Waihi. The heard of alpaca were such a treat as was being allowed to feed them. The rooms were very comfortable, warm and easy to find.

I can’t fault Waihi Gold Alpacas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

There was nothing to dislike

There was no TV in the room, however my colleague was there on business so not necessary, the comfort and location ticked the boxes that needed ticking!!

"It’s a truly exquisite hidden gem."

We stayed at a lovely couple’s cottage on the top of a hill, and it was like a dream to be able to interact with a big family of alpacas. The two hosts showed incredible hospitality — before we left, they even made us promise not to wash the dishes or tidy up the beds! We couldn’t help but laugh. The utilities and furniture were all clean, well-maintained, and very easy to use, which made our stay even more comfortable. They kindly let us spend as much time as we wanted with the alpacas, goats, and their friendly dog,Bear.
