Beverley Country Cottages

Wonderful cottage. Warm, clean and cosy. Cute dogs on the property. Host & owners were friendly and accommodating. Milk, ice, firelighters, wood, coffee, tea, biscuits and toiletries were all provided - this was a very generous gesture. Every bedroom had its own bathroom. I would most definitely book again. We loved everything about our stay

Beautiful and quiet Setting

Neat and clean. Nice lounge and lovely bedroom. DSTV was a treat. Fresh farm milk available in the fridge. Thanks. A shop is available at reception with meat in the freezers and lovely muesli.

It's far out. Directions could have been more specific. It was about 15k up the road from the intersection (maybe 18k). Load shedding meant no network so we felt a bit lost. Gate bell at venue didn't get a response at first. We waited for a while. No signal so resorted to hooting. Staff at the venue opened but didn't know which unit we were booked in and waited for me to find an email which was a challenge without signal. Eventually I described the picture I'd seen on the booking. I was keen to see the animals and go for a walk. Proceeded to the area in front of our unit and got electrocuted on a piece of white tape across the cordoned off area. Ok. Back inside. No instructions on where we could walk or explore. Everything appeared cordoned off. The next morning I found a broken piece of fence/tape and managed to get onto the farmland for a walk. Not sure if I was allowed there though. More info about where we could explore would have been nice. When we left I noted they had a shop at reception. It was lovely and had some frozen meat, muesli, gifts and basic supplies available. I wish we'd known about thism On checkout, I had to tell the helper how much I owed.

I only got to stay 1 night.

We were so touched by the personal touches that had been left for us...an info letter actually addressed to us instead of a generic one, fresh flowers in every room, delicious biscuits and a bottle of fresh milk and firewood. The house was so comfortable and welcoming and the peacefulness of the entire farm was just such a welcome break from the hustle of real-life. We will definitely be back !

what a delightful spot. the cottages are well equipped and very homely. we loved our night there and as we have family in the area, hope to return.

The breakfast was excellent--more than we expected

Nothing, everything was good and in place

Kate the owner went out of her way to accommodate us in all aspects - even made us breakfast to go as we had to leave at 6:00. The chalet itself is equipped in such a way that all ones needs are taken care of. Very tastefully done as well.
