"Cosy hut perfect for solo travellers"

10.0

Lovely location, close to the train station and accessible on foot. The host was really helpful when I called asking for directions, thank you! Cosy and clean little hut, perfect for solo travellers. Lovely view of the landscape

Got a little bit warm at night (in October!) but this was easily remedied by opening the window. It would have been nice to have some more utensils- eg chopping board, colander, lighter pans (the cast iron pans are quite heavy to use.)

"Beautiful, peaceful, cozy retreat."

9.0

We stayed in Hut 3 and it was really beautiful and peaceful. Once we found the farm the hut was easy to find and well signposted. The hut is cosy and clean with a nice shower and small kitchen. The double bed is comfy with soft pillows. The views are gorgeous and it was so lovely to wake up to see the horses each morning. We saw loads of birds and some very cute bunnies. There was a great little table outside with 2 small but sturdy chairs and a couple of deckchairs if you wanted to relax. We moved it away from the fire pit to be under the outdoor lights in the evening. It is within walking distance of the train station which is great if you are traveling on foot as we were. The walk is lovely. We went to Brighton for the day which was about 45 minutes away on the train. The local Tesco is about 15 minutes walk away and is well stocked, so we cooked food outside on the fire pit using the cast iron pan. There is also a local pub and a couple of takeaways but we didn't visit them. The locals were very friendly and always smiled and said hello when we crossed paths on a walk. There are lots of little windows in the hut with fabric to cover them if needed. The front door is a Dutch door and opens at the top if you need more air. We had pretty much everything we needed for a lovely relaxing stay. We would definitely stay again!

We really loved our stay and would stay again, these are just a few minor issues. We were on foot and finding the farm was a problem. Clearer information on how to find the farm would have been very helpful as it doesn't show up on Google maps and the postcode shows a point next to another farm. Either detailed instructions or a 'what 3 words' would have been really helpful. We tried to ring the numbers but nobody answered (I had a couple of missed calls later which I assume was them). Luckily a local dog walker explained in the end. We cooked our own meals so a chopping board and maybe a salad bowl would be helpful, but we made do. It should be noted the fire pit isn't a barbeque but there were cast iron pans to use. We tried to connect to the WiFi but it said there was network problems (even after restarting the router outside), but it was the last night so we didn't contact the owner. A small thing for us but if you're relying on WiFi it could be a problem.
