Yangsum Heritage Farm

Lovely room, huge bed, very comfortable. Comfy settee and chairs. Lovely balcony, with views over the garden and towards the mountains, although cloudy whilst we were there. Breakfast served in the garden, lunch and dinner served in the dining room, just for us, since we were the only guests present during our time there. All was delicious. Attentive host, gave us a tour of the farm, suggested other places of interest. Our driver stayed in a place nearby.

This is a fabulous property completely one with nature… rooms are a good size.. food was home cooked and delicious and the host Thandup was a great help in sorting all our travel mess ups. He also made sure my son got his gluten and dairy free meals. The property has a beautiful nature trail and we enjoyed exploring it. Special mention to the 4 legged friends… one of them even escorted us on our trail. We also had a gorgeous view of the Kanchenjunga (from our room) on 2 of the 3 mornings we were there..

Now this comment has nothin to do with the property per se … but in fact a mistake made by us when booking. We were under the impression that this property is in Pelling… but we only realised when we reached that it’s a good 1 1/2 hrs from Pelling. So to do the sights in Pelling we had to add another 3 hours (to and fro). So this is an ideal property to just chill.. do local monastery.. walk around the trails in the property and really get one with nature.

Excellent local food made with the freshest ingredients, spacious nature of the room, location, cleanliness and facilities. Helpful nature of the staff who went out of their way to make our stay pleasant.They even took pains to ensure that we reached our next destination safely. Would recommend without hesitation to anybody who is travelling in west Sikkim.
