Aloha Riverside

Awesome and the good is amazing.

Had a fantastic stay at Aloha Riverside. The location, nestled beside the serene Parvati River, is truly beautiful—peaceful and far removed from the hustle and bustle of Kasol. The chalet accommodations were decent, but what truly made our stay memorable were the people there. Manager Rohit, along with his assistants Ram and Ravi, went above and beyond to meet all our needs, always with a smile on their faces. Mohit, the cook, prepared some amazing local dishes. I still vividly remember the Pahadi Chicken he cooked on the day we arrived.

Far from the Maddening crowd. This resort is about 20 Kms from Kasol Town on narrow Bhuntar Manikaran Road. The resort is located by the riverside and is perhaps at par with the top resorts in the area in terms of location. Mind you Kasol Town is over crowded and dusty and prone to traffic jams and waiting periods at certain places could go to about 30 mins to an hour as roads have caved in due to land slides. It was pet friendly that was the usp.

1. Parking is on the main road which itself is not very broad. 2. The resort should implement a zip line for quick transfer of baggage and guests willing to opt for it.Till then be prepared to take a steep flight of stairs to the resort from the main road 3. Staff headcount is less and is unable to attend to a lot of requests in case the resort is fully occupied. Although they are very sincere and committed towards the guests they lack proper professional training. 4. No option of tea making kit at your room even in the chalet where we stayed. Early risers will have to wait till 9am for tea becoz that's the time the kitchen opens. 5. No significant differentiation in food preparation and presentation was basic, nothing resort like. The Paneer Tikka took forever to be served. 6. This resort can be the best in the area if run by pros. Currently the efforts, amenities and manpower are amateurish and need to be upgraded. There are no eating out options near the resort and all happening eating joints are in Kasol Town. Just enjoy the location and the calmness that comes with it.

The best part was the location.

Food was very average. They have a long menu with fancy dishes but most of them were unavailable. Reason given was unavailable due to season where in they were such things that should have been available in that season. Rooms that were given to us were not upto the mark. Toilet flush had drainage water. Bed had heating system but looked like was about to break. Looked more like a hammock from one side. There can be no privacy in chalets as you can clearly hear the person talking upstairs and vice e versa. The mud/dust will fall on you if staying on the ground floor chalet if someone walks on the top chalet. No electric kettle available even during winters. Staff is very slow and you might not get as and what you ask for most of the time.
