Mein Heim Guest Farm

It was super clean. Very comfortable & private unit with safe parking in front of the unit.

We arrived just before a hailstorm. The parking was covered by a flat roof, protecting the vehicle from the hail and heavy rain. The drainage was perfect, the lawns were freshly mowed, the braai was clean, and a bonus: I could braai on a Weber and use the open fireplace for coals.

The kitchen is slightly minimal if a family of five stays for 4 nights, as we did. But all the amenities were complete and working. The kitchen is open plan with the livingroom section, and if the weather was inclement, it would be cramped to stay indoors.

It is a great location, the rooms are nice and well furnished and all was nice and clean. I missed the part about if being pet friendly. The first 2 hours were fine until the other guest arrived with 2 Labrador sized dogs. They did refund me my full amount paid for the unit.

As I said I missed the pet friendly part. If you want to market a pet friendly facility make sure that all the guests are OK with barking dogs right next to their unit, especially if the guest book on a farm stay venue for peace and quite. I was there for 2 hours and then packed up and booked into another guesthouse in Kimberly at 19:30 that night.

No breakfast was served

The heating system in the room did not work and nobody was interested to rectify the problem.

Peacefull, great accommodation, excellent kitched and bathroom. Climbed the little koppie, walked around the farm saw the animals. Debbie helped me to book in during a massive storm. The generator was started during loadshedding

Kimberley seems to only get rain when I go there, loadshedding is a problem every where. Info on the history of the farm will be appreciated.

The ability to walk on the property and view bushman paintings.

Could have been warned about the swarms of mosquitos which assailed us on our walk.
