The Owl Hoot

What isn't to like, this is around the 2nd/3rd year me and my partner have came here. We usually try to come once a year because we love it so much. It's Beautiful in summer... Nice weather, the sheep & horses are out with the occasional rabbit bouncing by. Even at night the scenery is fantastic. Even with the piggery next door you have privacy and it's very so quiet. Lots of great places to visit from food & drinks to days out or if your looking for a quiet relaxing time away from the city this is the place to be. Couldn't ask for a better place to come to each year!

Gorgeous area, the hut was super cosy and the bed was so big and comfortable! The owners were lovely and helpful as well xxx

Great comfy bed Staff were very helpful From shower gel go milk and coffee had everything we needed

Fridge was alittle too cold and froze a couple of things The Internet password sign had fallen so we diddnt find it till we were leaving

Great location relaxed for 2 days before busy day at alton towers 15 min drive away

The owl hoot is situated on a beautiful farm, peaceful and tranquil. Perfect for relaxing and winding down. The cottage is a cute small converted carriage, by the looks of it, with all you need for your stay. Small kitchen for you to cook and enjoy the countryside. Behind is a nice patch of land which we were able to use for our dogs to run around and enjoy themselves because luckily there was no livestock that usually is in there. Overall great place for us and dogs to enjoy a stay away from the city.

We loved everything really, the only thing to be slightly picky was the temperamental and weaker shower but still this is only a minor and didn’t stop us from having a great time!

Not being able to contact owners to rectify loss of hot water. No hot water from Friday pm to Sunday am, hence no shower facilities. Also no instruction leaflet available giving information about the site and amenities.

Cosy Shepherds hut in nice little village, friendly welcome. Comfy bed and good facilities. Pretty surroundings.

The property was perfect for our stop over in the peaks, quaint location with beautiful views and felt secluded despite being by the farm and another small stop over building. It was lovely to be greeted by the horses - our host had even left us some chocolate eggs for Easter! The facilities were great, with a very neat bathroom, functional kitchen, fridge and tv with Netflix available!

Perhaps could’ve done with a bit more of a dust but that’s coming from a clean freak!

We had a lovely stay, the facilities were great and couldn’t have asked more of the little cabin! The bed was extremely comfortable and the grounds were lovely for us to sit outside with our dog during the day. We also loved the horses on the property!
