La Gelsomina - Etna

Sûrement le logement le plus incroyable que nous ayons eu en Sicile. Je ne regrette qu’une chose: ne pas y être resté plus longtemps! Instructions très claires pour s’y rendre, en pleine nature sur les pentes de l’Etna. La clé nous attendait sur la porte. Nous étions 5 dans un grand appartement très bien équipé et avec de belles vues sur la campagne les vignes et d’un côté la mer (magnifique lever de soleil) et de l’autre sur l’Etna. Il y avait 2 grande chambres avec grand lit double et une chambre avec lit simple. Une cuisine et un grand salon ainsi qu’un grand balcon. 2 salles de bain. Nous devions partir tôt le matin pour une excursion sur l’Etna aussi n’avons nous pas eu beaucoup de temps pour profiter de l’incroyable petit déjeuner : d’excellents produits et dans une très belle salle.

The view was incredible and way beyond expectations. The photos dont do the beauty of this place justice! The rooms were very spacious, with beautiful terrace - with views right down to the coast. Just incredible. Rooms were bigger and more self contained than we thought. Very tranquil. Beautiful wines, welcoming hosts. Great breakfast.

Would've liked breakfast to be served earlier to allow us to begin our day trips before the heat. 830am was a bit late. The location is a bit isolated which adds to the charm but worth being prepared for - no restaurants were open in the town and no dinner on site. The walk into the village is up a huge hill. Not bad for us but worth guests being aware.

We loved the tranquility, views and the uniqueness of staying on a working vineyard. In keeping with the surroundings, our room was rustic, traditional but top quality facilties. We booked in for the wine with food experience, which was very interesting and enjoyable with varied Sicilain delicacies. Breakfast was a delight, buffet style. All staff were lovely.

Nothing, everything was perfect. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Gorgeous location on a vineyard on the hillside of the Etna, quiet and dark at night, small scale, kind personnel, spacious apartment, double bathroom, terrace, own parking.

Room was a bit dark.

Det här var som kontrast till vad vi har upplevt på Sicilien, och det var helt magiskt att få landa på den här vingården och göra en vinprovning. Jag kan varmt rekommendera detta!

Det finns utmaningar med om man vill äta mat. Vid boendet fanns pizzaugn och grillar men då behöver man också mat för att kunna tillaga någonting. Det var svårt att hitta restauranger som mitt tips är att ta med sig mat som man kan äta om man väljer att bo där. För efter en vinprovning vill man inte ut och köra bil.
