Elegant Desert Camp

Great customer service - loved the meal location and drinks up at the bar.

The staff was amazing, the food was so wonderful. The tented camp is a wonderful experience.

No fridge or aircon. It was really unbearable hot, and we were immobile for a large part of the day.

Loved the comfy bed and its ability to push it onto the deck!

No hot water for shower! Bed almost did not fit through door when pushing it onto the deck:) Breakfast at the lodge and not at our camp!

Relatively close to Sossusvlei providing easy access to the park. Views are nice. Was great that we could charge our camp freezer in the tent.

We enjoyed our evening there but it wasn't wow like other places we've stayed at offering the same done and sleep under the stars experience. It's small things and attention to detail that lacking. The biggest issue for us was probably the layout of the tents which doesn't allow for much privacy. We could literally see into other guests rooms and patios and anyone walking past another tent can see the bed when pulled out on the patio. The bar and swimming pool area is also quite crowded when all the guests are up there.

The camp site was beautiful and isolated for an uninterrupted sunset view from the raised pool deck bar. Sleeping under the stars (you roll your bed out onto the balcony!) was just spectacular. And a beautiful meal included cooked in an open courtyard with two fire pits. Even with every tent occupied it felt super “individual” without being too crowded. To top it off, we had zebras eating just in front of our tent!

It was tricky to use the kettle and coffee set up in the tent. A bigger bench or bar would be helpful!
