Wow! This was an entire house in the country. Plenty of beds to pick from. Felt very safe out there. It felt like staying on a ranch. It brought make memories of growing up in the country. The owner was extremely friendly. Country Folk!

The house was like a throw-back in the 1950s. The beds were of the old style, (not that comfortable). Outside bugs were a problem, since the screen doors were not sealed. Load shedding was an issue, without a backup generator. No entertainment. TV & the internet was not available, (even though the TV was present). It was like truly living in the country during the 1950s or 60s.

It’s a big house on the countryside. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and making a fire in the outdoors fireplace. Real remote countryside feel. The host was very nice :)

The house is a bit worn down overall. In one room, there was a broken window. The house would benefit from new mattresses, better lighting and a few more mirrors.

how peaceful was this? A beautiful old farm house with a nice braai area outside.

Listed the property with pool. But the pool on the Photos were 300m away, on a different property.Not on the property we booked. The Main reason we booked this property was thinking the pool was on the property. This was false advertising! Ruined the stay

This is the heart of the Karoo. The setting the house the smells of all the animals the sounds of the sheep the visuals of ostriches and the view of the Black mountains in the background- the heat of the Karoo - just fantastic

We were there when the temperature was above 42 degrees. They have a pool but about 100m away from the house. They are going to add plunge pools near each house which will be great. Also not all the rooms had Aircon. Fix this and one will sleep better on hot nights. The rest is perfect for a braai evening under the stars in the Karoo

Wilna was so friendly and welcoming. She offered to show the kids the baby ostriches and buck. The house was peaceful yet well located to the town centre. We enjoyed sitting on the patio with a cup of coffee and watched the most beautiful sunset. The house was well equipped and comfortable. The little chocolates were a lovely touch along with the complimentary wood left for guests to enjoy a braai or boma. We will definitely return again as Wilna was an incredible host.
