It is a beautiful and quaint cottage. The surrounding landscape is breathtaking. The host is friendly and helpful and the complimentary bread delicious..

The solar system is a bit noisy but we did get used to it. It is odd to leave the house to get to the bathroom especially because it was cold but not a deal-breaker at all.

"A rare gem of space and tranquility"

What a rare gem nowadays ‐ space, silence and simplicity, staying in a renovated 1907 farm school in the middle of a farming community. The owners care deeply, in returning the lands back to the indigenous veldt, to the benefit of their livestock, their guests and of course Mother Nature.

"Would be a good overnight experience for a family with 2 children."

A warm, fragrant home-baked bread awaited us upon arrival—a wonderful surprise. The gas heater was a wonderful addition to a cold evening.

The room with the bunker beds was more suited for children - not 2 adults. The bathroom was on the stoep - we experienced a frigid evening during our stay.

The overall atmosphere were exceptional. We were 4 adults and the cost for the 2 nights were very affordable.
