What a fantastic place - it was literally out of this world! We had a beautiful big (35-40 m2) room filled with gorgeous antique furniture. The owner’s son was a wonderful host, he went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. He made us a delicious breakfast consisting of specialities from Alentejo as well as his mum’s yummy homemade cake and jams. We had the whole house to ourselves - room after room filled with beautiful and rare antiques from Asia, we have never seen anything like it. This is an absolute GEM - amd we feel humbled and honoured to have been able to spend a few hours in this beautiful location😊 Obrigada.

Everything, the host was outstanding, the room was perfect and specious, very nicely decorated steeped in history. We loved staying there and definitely 100% recommend!! It was just one night as we had an appointment at SEF and it was the perfect stay, the host kindly printed all the paper I needed for it, he also was very knowledgeable about the area and loved sharing this with us. Honestly we have been moving around the country for the last 2 weeks and it was the best host we had by a mile! Passionate about the area, friendly and accommodating! They accept my dog kindly without fuss. We thought it would be a routine appointment but we now plan on returning and staying again so that we can explore the region and enjoy the house further.

Just loved everything about our stay. We felt so welcomed and appreciated and were treated like royalty. Felt like we stepped back in time and were treated with the utmost graciousness and manners. I really would have loved to stay longer. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful large aristocratic type house old and well kept.

Takes you back in time which you can see in films, yet very comfortable and wonderful people , humble and kind.

Very interesting historical property, lots of character, great ,safe parking for the two motorcycles. The hosts were very pleasant and informative. The property was comfortable, clean and the breakfast was amazing, a regional delight. Will definitely return.

Just breath taking family home. Breakfast was a cultural treat. Our host was help in sorting a taxi tour arround the area. We enjoyed his company and conversation

The owners are the most helpfull and pleasant hosts one can imagine. Whatever you ask they will solve any problems and help to get things sorted out. Their advice on restaurants is excellent and they make the reservations if asked for. The breakfast is oppulant with home made cakes, which are difficult to resist - don’t try to calculate calories. Appart fom sweets there are local cheese, ham and scrambled eggs on request. Nice and clean room with a lot of space and classic furniture and antique decoration. Location is excellent for discovery of the old town on foot.

Nothing - everything is as you would wish for.

I was absolutely amazed when I walked through the door to see this house full of beautiful antiques. Room after room was beautifully furnished with museum quality pieces that had a story behind it that the host was pleased to explain. My room was 30 ft by 18 ft. In other words, it was enormous. There is also a beautiful courtyard garden to enjoy. There is parking out front reserved for guests and very easy to find on Google maps. The son of the owner speaks perfect English and was helpful in many ways with questions I had about my trip. I would highly recommend staying here.
