Visiting Tuscany had been my dream for years, and when the chance suddenly came I had little time to plan. All I knew was that I wanted to stay in the heart of this magical land. Fate led me to Agriturismo La Selvella near Radicofani, tucked into the Val d’Orcia hills. It was easy to find with Google or Apple Maps, and there was plenty of free parking. From the moment we arrived, Marina and her team made us feel like family. They even upgraded us to a larger apartment at no extra cost—rustic yet elegant, spotlessly clean and cool against the summer heat. Evenings on our private terrace under the cypresses, watching the Tuscan sun dissolve into the hills, felt like personal blessings. La Selvella is a haven of peace and beauty, especially for families. The pool’s crystalline water invites lazy afternoons, and there’s a little soccer field, table tennis, hammocks, swings and friendly farm animals. Marina’s affectionate dogs roam happily too. Meals celebrate the land: organic produce from their gardens, and the house wine is wonderful. We left with bottles of their olive oil and hand‑picked herb teas. I appreciated their commitment to sustainability—there are electric‑vehicle charging stations right in the parking lot. In just three days this place wove itself into my heart. Its tranquil setting and warm hospitality make it a perfect base for exploring Siena, my beloved Pienza, Montepulciano and more. It was hard to leave. I’m deeply grateful to Marina and her wonderful team, and I suggest booking via La Selvella’s website so you can see photos and learn about the place. If you long for a serene refuge in the heart of Tuscany, this is a dream come true.

The place was nice. Very quiet, nice pool and perfect to relax.

I think the food could have been a lot better. I understand hating a set menu, but it should have had better choices.

Beautiful and well maintained, kidfriendly agriturismo. Marina and staff were always welcoming, friendly and helpful. We and our children (1 and 3 years old) had the best time. We especially enjoyed the beautiful pool, loved to see all the animals at the farm and staff were always sweet to our kids (our eldest was particularly fond of Giuseppe). Breakfast and Tuscan dinner were exceptional. Would love to come back here!

Nothing really. It might be good to bring some mosquito repellent (at dusk) if you are sensitive to mosquito bites (mosquitoes are everywhere in Tuscany)
