L'Oro Rosso

The owners were very friendly and are simply good people. They were helpful and accommodating in solving our transportation limitation. (We did not have a car and needed to go to Marostica for a concert.) The breakfast was wonderful, excellent quality and abundant. The meal was on the patio in back of the house, looking at a spectacular combination of mountains, olive and cherry trees, and churches/homes. Our apartment had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed and all the standard comforts. If we had had a car, there was plenty of easily accessible, secure parking available.

A very minor issue was the difficulty I had in being sure which switches turned on which of the various lights in the hallways and stairways.

In addition to my more detailed comments in another review of L’Oro Rosso (we stayed there again on Sep 14 - Sep 15), I should mention that we liked its nearness to Marostica. We also liked that it had a very nice restaurant, located a very short walk away. Our hosts made arrangements for us to be able to get a good lunch there when we arrived at an unusual time in the mid-afternoon. I be also liked the flexible set up do that it was very easy to return to L’Oro Rosso at late hours without disturbing anyone.

Perfectly positioned in a small townn, but close to hills, restaurants and sightseeing monuments, with the bonus of being on a farm.

The hosts, Paolo and Stefania were great, and breakfasts were splendid. Good place to relax and call home.
