Agriturismo Castello Di Querceto

We loved the overall beauty of this property! The staff went out of their way to welcome us and make sure we were comfortable. If I had the $$$ I’d book the place for the whole summer.

Nothing to dislike about this place.

The area itself is lovely and situated in the heart of chianti. The wine tasting was lovely with a very knowledgeable host. We got to try 3 different wines. The town of dudda nearby had a lovely restaurant.

Where to begin. To start I don't normally write bad reviews. Me and my partner have a very positive outlook on everything that happens but this stay was a shocker I believe the title and photos of this property are misleading. You are not staying in the castle itself, that is a private residence that you are not allowed to enter. You are staying in a completely separate building 10 minutes walk away. We did the wine tasting so we were unable to drive out for dinner. The only solution for food was walking to the small town of dudda. We had to walk either 30 minutes on a very busy dark road. Or we were told we can take a shortcut through the fields. So we did the shortcut. On the way home (9pm) they had locked this route so we were locked into the fields in the rain. We had to call the owner to help us escape. The room we had was very dirty. It looked like it hadn't been dusted or hoovered in a long time. In addition we had a ridiculous number of mosquitos despite us having all the doors shut and mosquito windows and doors shut. Despite hermetically sealing our room with our dirty laundry. We counted killing 30 before we gave up and went to bed. We were woken up throughout the night as the walls were so thin you could hear everything. All in all when me and my partner left the next morning we looked at each other with a sigh of relief that the nightmere was over.

Beautiful road up to the castello, nice property with view over the wineries. Very pleasant pool!

No air conditioning, no fan. Poolside beds were broken.

The place exceeded our expectations. The stay included a tour of Castello Di Querceto and a wine tasting, which was wonderful. We recommend taking a walk around the castle garden and experiencing its magnificence. The room at the accommodation was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed. Would stay at this place again.

The room could have also had an air conditioner to relieve the August heat.
