Z Ranch

There was no breakfast. But there was a bottle of Pinot made available upon arrival. The hostess, Alice, and her brother, James, have made a little heaven dream come true. They even provided the wood for an evening fire.

Thanks to the small appliances available, we were able to have ourselves a meal. Because of the windy road to get to this location, we did not venture out. Next time, we'll pack more food items.

Rustic, well equipped, comfortable, do it yourself vacation. close enough to paso robles wine region.

Lovely spot, really peaceful & quirky accommodation. Owner's brother was super friendly & helpful. Great outside seating area. Inside the bathroom was great.

Without the outside area the room would have been rather too small. Apart from a hanging rail there was nowhere to store clothes etc. which is a problem for travelers like us staying here as part of a longer trip.

Everything was good except one thing.

Mattress was too soft. My back was hurting. Needed a firmer mattress. One other suggestion. My wife is short. She could have used a stair in and out of the circular tub. It was hard for her to get in and out.

They were great hosts, the room was cozy, and the ranch was quaint.

Alice was quick to respond re: check-in! Nice peaceful location with adorable animals on property! Comfy bed! Very clean! Great studio for short stay! Nice shower however may be challenging for some people to step into.
