"Lammermuir" Rock & Castle Escapes

The iglus are beautifully appointed, well stocked, and very clean. Nice views over the countryside. Large decking area with seating and lighting to enjoy. Big windows with great views that let lots of air through. Bottle of prosecco on arrival, which was a nice touch and tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, and olive oil. The bed, though a touch high to get onto it large and really comfy, it felt quite luxurious with the way it was made up. Lots of sockets and charging points. I would definitely visit again and would recommend that they are quite unique in style.

Only a small thing. The positioning of the blinds makes it a little awkward when opening the windows. Also, the blinds only cover the bottom two 3rds of the window for privacy, which means when it's daylight, it lets all this in. This was ok for me personally as I can sleep in the daylight but for those who can't it could be an issue if the sun rises at 4.30am.

Absolutely amazing accommodation with spectacular views over to tantallon castle and bass rock. The appliances were high end and the space was very cleverly designed. Loved everything about it

As soon as we drove onto the site and saw the iglus there was a wow factor but when we opened the door it was triple wow! The iglu was beautiful!! It had everything needed for a few days of a self catering break. There was plenty of hot water and the shower was better than ours at home! Everything was so clean and every bit of space was so well utilised and thought out, including the cleaning box. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the towels were so fluffy. The setting itself was incredibly peaceful and we didn't hear another person's voice whilst we were on the site. I don't know how the iglu stayed so warm but we certainly weren't cold, even in the rainy weather. The workmanship which has gone into making the iglus is absolutely amazing and breath taking. Such an incredibly clever design! Absolutely beautiful! We would like to come back when the iglus over looking the sea are open. It was nice just being able to let ourself in, and check out, without having to bother anyone. The welcome bottle of prosecco was a lovely touch. Thank you!

The hob was a little tricky to operate. Perhaps a curtain to separate the bedroom may have been helpful as my hubby likes to stay up later than I do so it would have helped to cut off some of the light but we worked round this. Also, very minor but a tray in the shower is always useful.

The cabin was amazing cosy and clean the view was exceptional, amazing and breathtaking.

The pod, the interior, the bass rock, sea cliff beach, the view. Everything was so well thought out. The fridge, the boiler and the toilet were silent. It was cosy. We stayed in gale force winds and the pod was up to it. Very clean

The pillows were uncomfortable, they were feather but not plump enough. I know I’m fussy but it stopped me sleeping well. My daughter also found the mattress uncomfortable, she felt like she was sleeping in a dip.

It was amazing so peaceful and the views were stunning, very clean all the essentials needed were there. It was a nice touch with the bottle of prosecco on arrival, it was a short stay but next time will book for longer we can't wait to come back.
