Quinta da Tapada de São Pedro

Very cute typical “Alentejo farm” with a nice and peaceful view. The couple who did serve our breakfast were nice and gave us recommendations about restaurants and places to go for example the Vimieiro village and Estremoz.

The breakfast was good but no fresh bread during our stay of 2nights (one of the slices had mold).

Big property to walk around, plenty of Olive trees all around; Great salted swimming pool, very clear with regular daily maintenance; Plenty of farm animals in the property, able to interact and feed; Two lovely dogs in the property very welcoming to other dogs; Staff extremely friendly and professional. Some reviews mentioned the bugs around the property, yes there are plenty around, and that is a great sign! It shows that there is no use of chemical products and all natural environment, and it’s a great snack for the chickens! During our 5 day stay the only thing that bothered us was the 1/2 mosquitos showing by.

The fact that it sits next to a national road you may hear some cars passing by in the morning and evening, but in my case it didn’t bother me that much.

One felt the love invested in the property and the vacationers by the caretakers. Octavio went above and beyond, so personable, and helped everywhere we needed. The farm is amazing and the animals very well cared for. The beds were super comfortable- we slept so well!
