Quinta do Pinheiro

C'est un petit havre de paix tenu par un couple très sympathique et polyglotte qui a à cœur de bien accueillir les gens . Les chambres sont très confortables , le petit déjeuner délicieux et l'endroit a beaucoup d'âme . Je recommande à 100%!

Fausto y su familia son unos estupendos anfitriones. Te hacen sentir en casa con un trato cercano y muy amable. Fausto está pendiente de tus necesidades y siempre dispuesto a complacerte y a informarte de lugares donde ir y dónde comer. Hemos viajado mi marido y yo con mi hija y su pareja y con mis sobrinas de Puerto Rico con sus dos niños de 1 año y todos hemos quedado contentísimos. La casa, el patio son preciosos y las habitaciones,muy cómodas. El lugar donde se encuentra es ideal para visitar ciudades sin tener que recorrer largos trayectos. Visitamos desde la Quinta Guimarães, Braga, Ponte de Lima, Viana do Castelo y Aveiro, esta ciudad algo más lejos, pero se llega en menos de hora y media en coche. En resumen, han sido unos días estupendos. Gracias desde aquí a Fausto. Y también a Viaje en familia Celia y Sofía.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à la Quinta do Pinheiro. L'accueil de Francisco et sa femme est exceptionnel ! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié leurs conseils pour découvrir la région. Merci pour leur gentillesse et leur bienveillance

The hospitality and location. The host was very friendly and welcoming. He told us a lot about the interesting history of the farm/former castle and the area. The breakfast was very nice with products from their own farm. Also the bedroom was comfortable (incl the bathroom) and we slept well. Don’t forget to switch on the boiler if you want a nice, warm shower. ;) The farm dog was adorable, always welcoming us! Summarized: go there! If you want to visit f.e. Guimarães, Penha, the national park Peneda-Gerês and/or surroundings, we can really recommend to stay at Quinta do Pinheiro! Would love to go back there someday.

There’s no wifi connection in the bedroom because of the beautiful, old stone walls. Though there is a connection in the inneryard and in the breakfast room.

The location was perfect for my travels, within walking distance of where I was working. The breakfast was very nice and plentiful with lovely jams, breads, cereal, eggs and cheese and good strong coffee!

Made to feel like one of the extended family. The host was very pleasant and suggested a local restaurant / bar that was excellent value and great food

A charming and quiet hotel in the countryside, newly renovated within the walls of an 8th-Century fortress. Rooms are kept very clean and comfortable, with a delicious breakfast including both sweet and savory things to eat. The highway is close by, but the hotel itself is in a tranquil area, surrounded by farmland. The hosts themselves have a small farm that you are welcome to explore if you are interested in sustainable agriculture and animals. The property has an inner courtyard as well, with a cozy environment perfect for relaxation. Highly recommend a stay if you are looking to immerse yourself in Portuguese and Ancient Roman history, away from the noise of larger cities. Many cities and towns are within reach for day trips by car including Porto and Braga. The host, Fausto, and his family are incredible friendly and hospitable, with a deep knowledge of the area's history and agriculture. Make sure to ask about places to eat Portuguese food and see some of the best sights northern Portugal has to offer, including nearby Guimaraes.

This is a working farm with an amazing history! It is a fantastic place to stay for history buffs. The owners are lovely and we were also happy with our rooms.

The directions given by Booking.com/Google maps aren't quite right. While the building is correctly pinpointed, the entrance is via R. de Sub-Estradas.

This is as close as you can get to being welcomed into someone’s home! Lovely and unique farm experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. Francisco could not have been a more welcoming, accommodating, and friendly host. We met his son who was also an absolute pleasure. They were also so kind to receive both of our dogs on our stay. We very much enjoyed the fresh, organic breakfast.

Nothing, it was the perfect stay.
