Il Castagneto

Location was stunning, breakfast was good, big recommendation!

Baby was crying in the room next to ours and the dogs was barking in the morning.

Very nice to stay here. Magnificent views. Great value for money.

We had a wonderful stay at Castagneto, Giulia is the nicest host. Not only does she provides homemade delicious cakes , fresh eggs for delicious breakfast she is the most gentle and helpful host. We strongly recommend a stay at Castagneto set in a beautiful countryside.

Cordiality, generosity, hospitality - these are three words that can describe the owner of the place where I spent a wonderful week! The apartment is very clean and spacious with an amazing view over windows on hills. Beds are comfy and in the kitchen you can find everything what you need but even there is something missing the host will help you. In the apartment you can find toasts, jam, cookies, milk, juice and water. Every morning freshly baked cakes waited for us! Internet connection is OK to search for info on laptop. I would like to come back! It was a wonderful time! Thanks for everything. Monika

Location is perfect with open vineyards with panoramic views, the owner is very pleasant and accommodating with fresh homemade pie waiting for me in my room for breakfast. 2 lovely friendly dogs were waiting as I arrived they just added to the experience.

I could hear the people staying in the other room next door as they were rather loud and shouting but this wasn't a fault of the hotel jus the other guests.

I am from Australia and on my first visit to Italy in 2017, I and my husband stayed at II Castagneto. On our second visit to Italy, we made sure we stayed again. My first comment to my husband when we arrived was "it is like coming home". Julia is an exceptional host. The accommodation is absolutely clean and comfortable. Julia's home-baked goods and home-made jams send my husband into an eating frenzy they are so good. The views and environment provide you with an understanding of the beauty of the area and agriculture in Italy. On our next visit which will be to see south of Rome, we will take the time out of the journey to travel north and spend time at our adopted "Italian Home".

A lovely location, beautiful views, close to a small town for groceries and restaurants. We walked around the vineyard and picked fruit right off the trees. Julia is a wonderful host, very accommodating and a great cook. She made pastries or pies each morning for us to have with our choice of produce from the farm (fresh fruit, tomatoes, eggs). It was a lovely place to stay with an excellent host.

It's worth driving up the winding and narrow road to the apartment because the host is very friendly, the room is amazing, and the view from the garden is impressive.

Location, stunning views, quality beds, a/c, the best host I have ever encountered and the welcome fruit and snacks. Out of many years of travel, this is by far the best place I have stayed at to date. The host, Julia is awesome. She treats you like a dear friend.
