Casa do Penedo - Quinta de Fundevilla

Beautifully restored old Portuguese countryside house, with plenty of space for our group of 7. The children enjoyed the separate living room with a huge tv that they could connect to their Nintendo. Most of all we enjoyed the outside - the swimming pool, the lawn, the lakeshore small beach almost only for ourselves, the available SUP boards and canoe. The owner, Hugo, is very friendly and responds promptly. Sr. Antonio was equally friendly, and very helpful answering all my questions. We missed the house from the moment we left!

The house is in a small complex with 2 other houses, which is in principle not a problem, however, in the first 2 days the nearest house was occupied by a group of noisy guests who had the music on very loud right next to our house. They did lower it when I asked. The kitchen was well equipped, with everything you need for a big group. However, most of the pans didn't work with the induction stove. A few small repairs may be needed, but nothing that could spoil our holiday at all.

Gostámos de tudo. Casa com excelentes comodidades, muito conforto e principalmente uma grande tranquilidade envolvente. Impecavelmente limpa e bem equipada com churrasqueira disponível para uso. Pranchas de padel disponíveis e jardim com piscina. Vista fantástica sobre o rio. Amabilidade do caseiro e do proprietário.

Apenas a falta de um ar condicionado no piso superior, face à vaga de calor verificada. Noites muito quentes durante o alojamento.

The house is wonderfull, with a grat view over the lake. It is very clean and cozy. Great backyard with a clean poll.

WOW!! If you are even thinking about booking Casa do Penedo, just do it. The scenery is amazing, the house is huge with all the comforts of home and a unique collection of art. About 30 minutes drive to the village of Geres. The kayaks were fun on the river but boy the current was tough, and we loved spending lounge time in the pool after a day of sightseeing nearby villages or hiking. We grilled every night and dined al fresco at the large table (even beautiful table clothes provided) and enjoyed our morning coffee on the veranda with the most beautiful mountain and river views. We hardly saw anyone during our stay and it was like we had the entire mountain to ourselves. Can't wait to go back!

Not a thing! It was all fabulous and we can't wait to go back.
