"We went for a family wedding, but the Hoenderhok was the highlight!"

We loved the farm scene. The cows in the field in front of the house was realy nice and brought back good old memories. The mountains are breathtaking and the bird sounds were so peacefull. It was so relaxing, we wished time could stand still for a bit. The house inside was very cozy and comfortable, the shower was great!! I cant wait for our next trip to Swellendam to stay there again. A real gem of a place.

A sign with the name at the entrance would be a good idea. We were looking for a sign with words, did'nt even see the metal chicken. With google maps stopped just before the house, it was a little confusing, but luckily the owner help directing us over the phone. ☺ It was not the end of the world, though.

Very comfortable and neat, with all the essentials that you would need. Quiet and beautiful scenery!! Owner was very friendly and I had good communication from booking to checking out.
