Die Hoenderhok and Die Plaashuisie

Sfeervolle accommodatie. Het was fris, maar de open haard maakte dat goed. In het plaashuisie was ook elektrische verwarming. De omgeving is prachtig, op het platteland met uitzicht op de bergen. Vriendelijke beheerder.

De opgehaald zorgde voor een rooklucht in het huisje.

Good location, close to Swellendam. Simple but practical layout with a good fireplace. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and even though it was cold out, the bed was warm. Very peaceful and quiet surroundings, great for an escape from a busy life. Kitchen had everything we needed and meal prep was easy and convenient.

Lighting could have been better in the kitchen area.

What a cool spot, love the vibe and the fireplace

Wonderful location we enjoyed in the middle of winter, all facilities working and we enjoyed the attention to detail - the cows in the pasture and the local birdlife we thoroughly enjoyed too :-)

This does not affect our very high scoring review - but for the Springboks season it would have been "nice" to have had the option to watch the game at the cottage - but we did drive into town and watch it with the locals which turned out to be quite lekker too.
