Beautiful views, relaxing on veranda watching goats and geese. Friendly dogs and helpful staff. Accomodation was excellent.

"Great stay in at Lavender Trout cottage"

Had a wonderful stay at Lavender Trout. Jo and her staff, led by Noxy, were really great with communication and coordination and made sure everything was perfect for our arrival. The cottages are really charming with a great Midlands feel. The fireplace was thoroughly enjoyed. They have all the facilities one might need and were very clean and well maintained. The surrounding grounds and Dam were also in great condition. Great value for money and we will definitely be back to stay again.

"Beautiful Calm and Relaxing !!!"

The scenery was breathtaking. We had a lovely set of ladies to clean up. Ample firewood for our cold nights and a fully self catering unit. A lovely place and a memorable weekend all in all

The braai could have better lighting as it light falls earlier in winter and we braaid in the dark. I did make make mention on a mesage to the owner and Jo mentioned she may add on fairy lights so this is a great idea.

"Beautiful relaxing location with all you need at hand"

We stayed at the main house and it has every facility you could possibly need. Additionally it was the midst of winter and we had lots of wood for fire and/or heaters and electric blankets in every room. They even have a little table and chairs for the littles with us (ages 2-6 years old) and a lovely little jungle gym and trampoline for the kiddos too. Plus there is a full size pizza oven too! And even a dam for trout fishing and also some geese and goats. Looking forward to coming back when it’s warmer so we could use the beautiful looking pool too. Great location as well for exploring Nottingham road area.

"Wonderful special place in a beautiful setting"

Thank you Jo at Lavenger Trout Guest Farm, we had a wonderful stay. Room was super comfy and sparkling clean. Will certainly be back, and not to forget Toffee and friend that made wonderful companions for the weekend 😀

Can hear people in next room if there is someone there but other than that, it's perfect
