Unhais Valley - Country House

Location, view, amenities, good welcome, complete breakfast, silent surroundings.

It was very close to the thermal spa, very quiet and close to Covilhã

Probably we missed the information, there wasn’t daily room cleaning.

The house is nicely located, having the sun rays the whole morning and an amazing view! And being able to have that view in the comfort of a fireplace was icing on the cake. We loved the breakfast, with great cheese and bread diversity. The staff was also really nice and helped us with restaurant recommendations. Also, being able to run the fireplace ourselves was really nice, we felt home!

Maybe because of other guests, some dish towels were dirty and the kitchen countertop wasn't clean.

The view, the house itself is very new, everything feels high quality, nice stuff, convenient parking

Quiet place to energize yourself with an amazing view, reading a good book next to the fireplace. Clean, cozy, and excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Impressive view. Clean and spacious. Nice sourroundings and great outside if you just wanna hang out in the garden.

Just very minor things: sofas are covered with blankets which feels like you could mess them up by using them. Would have loved more of the great cheese on the table for breakfast - but we could have asked for more, I guess.

This is a great location for people who like a remote little town and want to do some hiking on the mountains. The staff is very nice, helpful, just ask Pedro about the road before you go. Waze and Google maps are not ok in the town. They take you the wrong way. Breakfast is good, so you have a good start of the day. Advice: check the restaurants schedule and book in advance. We had only one option as the other ones were closed due to different reasons.

The room had no mosquito net so we had flies all over the room. At one point we had 7 flies in the room and we had to hunt them down or not sleep after sunrise so that is a real issue that has to be fixed asap with a mosquito net and do some eco friendly spraying in the garden and around the house. Also the bed needs a topper with memory foam like one from Jysk (super cheap) that will make the bed cosy as it was super hard.

Loved the location, the hotel itself is so beautiful - a display of old and new so harmoniously combined - and have amazing views of the Serra. Also, the staff is very helpful and available. They recommended places to visit nearby as well as restaurants - one which we went to and had an amazing time! Overall a wonderful experience that we will certainly repeat!
