I almost want to keep this place a secret because it is so special, especially because it is still protected from touristy crowds. If you are looking to step into a very special and well preserved historical palace, relax by the Tuscan sun, and forge connection with the keepers of this beautiful place, then you should book. I cant wait to come back and spend more family vacations here. From the very rich history of the area, to the beautiful property grounds, to the amazing life story of the owner and her parents, you feel in a very special place. Lorena who manages the property was so accommodating and flexible, she made us feel like guests of honor. We hiked every day and enjoyed the pool. The property driving distance to Montepulciano and other great towns for shopping and dining. 100/10. Wow.

"Excellent although extremely hot stay"

- tennis court and pool - perfect garden - Lorena (the manager) is great - apartment is very nice - oil is sooo good - silent and peaceful place

- lack of air conditioning plus extremely hot weather It is extremely difficult for them to install AC because of physical limitations and also to preserve aesthetics.

Chiarentana had the perfect location near Val D’Orcia. The villa estate was authentically Toscano. It was romantic and dreamy. Even for a couple of nights you feel like you have your own estate. The olive trees surrounding the expansive property. Kitchen was highly functional. Wasn’t able to use the laundry area or the swimming pool

It was far to walk around to places. Nearest grocery would be a drive. Be prepared to drive. No food or catering available onsite.

"Magical stay in Tuscany"

My apartment completely exceeded my expectations. It was so beautiful and surprisingly huge! The lush area is gorgeous and quiet with views over the valley. The pool and my room were nice and clean and I felt very safe and comfortable for the 3 days I stayed here. A totally enchanting place. Thank you

The property was beautiful, staff were friendly and location was great for what we needed being close to La Foce.

It would be great if there was air conditioning!
