Agriturismo Baglio Calanchi

It’s a beautiful and special place, untouched by time, an ancient family home surrounded by olive and carob groves. The owner makes you feel so welcome, the food is fantastic and the pool is huge. We loved our stay with Giancarlo and would love to come back some time.

Geen tegenvallers!

The house was located in the countryside close to Noto, Modica and Ragusa. It was very tranquil and there were 2 friendly farm dogs on the property. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The pool in the garden was gorgeous, and there were loungers and towels provided for the poolside. Our host Giancarlo was very hospitable and friendly - as well as a fantastic chef. We had the privilege of eating his delicious home grown and local foods each evening as well as a farmhouse breakfast each morning. Giancarlo was exceptionally kind to us - when our rental car developed a flat tire he took us to the local tire depot, then when a replacement tire was unavailable he spent most of the day on the phone to Budget for us co-ordinating a pick up truck, a taxi back to the airport and a new car replacement at the airport (roadside assistance was useless). He went beyond expectations. Thank you Giancarlo.

The bed and pillows were a bit hard.

Très belle expérience pour ce bed and breakfast qui restera notre meilleur logement de notre circuit. Giancarlo est d'une extrême gentillesse et prévenant. On rentre dans cette vieille et belle maison avec beaucoup de respect et d'admiration. Quelle chance de pouvoir y loger. Tout est réuni pour y passer un bon séjour de par le confort proposé et jusqu'à la grande et belle piscine de 18 mètres qui permet de récupérer. Le petit déjeuner servi dans l'ancienne chapelle est constitué de produits loin des industriels que l'on sert ailleurs. Encore une fois une belle attention de Giancarlo.

La colazione era ottima e abbondante. Insalatina con pomodori, frutta di stagione, uovo sodo e ricotta poi degli ottimi cornetti ripieni. Dopo una colazione del genere abbiamo tranquillamente saltato il pranzo e visitato Modica, Ragusa, Scicli e il mare. L'agriturismo è molto bello e sembra di immergersi nel passato.

Consiglio di oliare i cardini della porta del bagno in modo che di notte non si disturbi il proprio compagno. Ma è solo un piccolo accorgimento per il resto le porte che cigolano hanno un fascino antico.
