The ceiling was falling in the kiddies room, the swimming pool was cold while they advertised it as a heated pool. We could not go canoeing as advertised because the dam is not well maintained. It is full of reeds. We got a quotation for 2 adults and 2 children, and we specified the ages of the kids on Booking.com, and we were quoted R4000, but when we were making the payment with the owners of the place, we were told Booking.com booked for 2 kids under 3 years of age and we had to pay an extra R2000.

The kids loved the activities. Painting, donkey cart rides and tractor ride. The host and her team were very attentive.

This is a great place to recharge your batteries. Johannes and Christy were very welcoming. I loved the fact that they kept in touch but not in an intrusive manner. Everything was well thought out. The kitchen had enough utensils and the 1st thing that struck us is how clean the rooms and kitchen was. It was a cold weekend and there were enough blankets and the fire places kept us warm and toasty. I would recommend this place to anyone especially those with young children.

The weather let us down! Initially we were disappointed that the TVs did not work but this worked to our advantage as we used the time to bond and play games.

The place was serene and peaceful. The children could easily interact with the animals. The cottages are well equipped with electric blankets. Fire place and heaters should you really be cold. The kids activity rides were fun for the whole family. We will definitely go back.
