Klondyke Cherry Farm

My wife, kids, and I enjoyed a peaceful 2-night stay at the beautiful Klondyke Cherry Farm. Nestled in the Witzenberg Mountains near Ceres, it was the perfect winter escape surrounded by orchards, crisp mountain air, and breathtaking views. While it's off-season for cherries, the charm of the farm, cozy fireplaces, and scenic walks made it a memorable midweek retreat for the whole family.

We had a lovely stay, great location, we did not see the snow, just the frost on the ground but we still had a wonderful time, we went Ceres Ziplining in the mountains. It was great. It was extremely cold, so pack enough warm clothing, the electric blankets, and the lovely fireplace helped. And a bonus it is pet friendly, so our yorkie could join us on the weekend away.

Haha, the fact that the warm water pipes were frozen the next morning, but it was part of the fun! Karoo bath in the basin!

Nice location next to the duck pond. The inside accommodation was clean and comfortable and offered everything we needed.

The owner/manager was rather curt and unwelcoming when we arrived, perhaps he was having a bad day. Outside table and seating was dusty and had not been cleaned in a while. Despite being clean and comfortable, at the price I expected a better standard of quality. Did not compare favourably to similar accommodation we used during our tour.

Fantastic, cozy little cottage next to the dam with braai overlooking the waters. Lots of walks through the orchards Fantastic that this place is Pet Friendly as our dogs loved their stay too.

Maybe to add a few board- & card games into the cottage for guests.

@x Big dogs running around without supervision. I was once bitten by a dog and are very cautious when it comes to dogs. I recommend that the owners keep their dogs to a separate place where they don't irritate the guests.

It's pet friendly and great value for money for a really peaceful getaway with beautiful surroundings

Nice spot for relaxation under the shade of oak trees, or you can hit one of the many farm trails for a walk, which my dog really enjoyed. The cottage is well equipped and the bed is really comfy, and the jar of cherry jam and bottled water was a nice touch. We went during cherry-picking season so could enter the orchard for free, and if you're into stargazing, the view at night is unsurpassed.
